The department needs a remote shared server for a Linux system and requires a boot disk installation. However, because the company Windows system has installed security software, and the use of software is also limited. So you can not use ultraiso such software to make U disk boot disk. Fortunately, there is an Ubuntu system in the department, so I made a setup disk with dd command.
The memory is not very good, records here, prepares for later uses.
Steps:
(1). > DF #命令查看U盘挂在到那个目录下 (Ubuntu automatically hangs after inserting a USB stick, usually mounts to/ETC/SDB1)
(2). > sudo umount/dev/sdb1 #卸载U盘
(3). > sudo mkfs.vfat-f 32/dev/sdb1 #将U盘格式化为FAT32 format, you can also use the command sudo mkfs.ntfs/dev/sdb1 format NTFS format, compare time. This main look at the main opportunity to identify the format of the file, specific online can find the difference
(4). > sudo dd if=ubuntu.iso of=/dev/sdb #烧制U盘启动盘, need to wait a while. If: Image file Of:u Disk mount directory can also set the size of the read-write block bs=2m (generally set to 2M more appropriate)
(5). > sudo fdisk-l/dev/sdb1 #查看是否烧制成功, it's generally not a problem.
It's done after the end. Insert a USB flash drive, start the computer to enter the BIOS password (only the computer set the BIOS password required), press ENTER immediately after pressing F2, enter the BIOS setup interface, set the boot sequence, use F5 or F6 to the first place, F10 save, then follow the steps to install it.
