Vb report Design

The most difficult part of the system is the report. Compared with the student information management system, a report is a new content. To add a report to vb, you must add a third-party control. First, download the crystal report, the following describes how to design a report (a new report version is used.

 

1. Click the extracted icon to display the following main interface.

2. Click the insert tab in the toolbar and click the report header option in the drop-down menu to add a topic for the report.

3. in step 2, the "Report Header" appears. Click the insert tab again and select static box]

4. Drag the mouse in the report header area to add a static box and double-click the input report topic.

5. In the lower-right corner of the form, you can set the position and font of the static Box Based on the corresponding attributes.

6. On the insert tab, add a detail grid for the report.

7. Place the cursor over the corresponding icon on the displayed detail grid toolbar. The function of each icon is displayed. Select [database connection string and query SQL] and click.

8. Click the create database connection string command button on the following interface. On the displayed page, select the Microsoft ole db Privider for SQL Server option and click Next.

 

9. Enter the correct information in the corresponding options, such as the computer name, the user name and password used to connect to the database, and the database name. Then, click test connection.

10. The code in the database connection string will be automatically added after the connection test is successful. Enter the query statement in the query SQL statement and test it. A Window indicating success indicates that the query is successful.

11. On the "edit" tab, select "SQL generation field (F) based on detailed query" to insert query fields to the report.

13. Double-click the added table and enter the information to be queried.

14. To display the tabulation time, add the integrated text box and drag the mouse to add a text box.

15. Double-click the added text box and enter "tabulation time:". Click Insert domain. In the displayed dialog box, select system variable ], select the first option in the system variable line to add the current date and time. OK.

16. You can click preview view or query view at the bottom of the main interface to view the effect.

17. The last step is also the most important step [Save ].
