802.11n wireless device package introduction:

Currently, mainstream wireless device manufacturers have launched their corresponding 802.11n devices at a price of more than 1000 yuan, and the 11n devices of a few vendors are less than 1000 yuan. In general, the 802.11n device package is mainly composed of two parts: the first is a wireless router, which has M and M, and the corresponding price difference is relatively large; the other is the supporting 802.11n wireless network card, there are also many types of interfaces, which are used for the notebook PCMCIA Interface and directly inserted into the desktop PCI slot, while the 802.11n wireless Nic of the USB interface is not very common. When working, the wireless network card and the wireless router communicate to achieve m speed of 802.11n standard wireless transmission.

802.11n wireless router settings:

There are also two major parts in setting wireless route parameters. The first is to configure the 802.11n wireless router, and the second is to install and debug the 802.11n wireless Nic. Let's talk about the settings on the wireless router first. Take the 802.11n wireless router produced by TP-LINK company as an example to introduce.

Step 1: During the first use, the DHCP function is enabled on the wireless router itself, which helps us better connect and configure the device, by default, we can connect the computer's wired network card to the common LAN interface of the wireless router through the network cable. The Administrator computer obtains IP addresses, gateways, and other information through the DHCP service. For example, the TP-LINK company assigned 192.168.1.100/255.255.255.0 by default, the gateway 192.168.1.1 address to the Administrator.

Step 2: after knowing the gateway address, we can access the wireless router through this address. Open IE browser, enter 192.168.1.1 at the address, and press Enter. If the network connection is normal, we will see the wireless router login interface, ask us to enter the corresponding Administrator account and password, by default, TP-LINK 802.11n wireless device WR841N using the User Name admin, log On with the admin password and click "OK" to go to the real governance interface.

Step 3: on the home page of the 802.11n device management interface, we cannot see any difference with the previous 54M product interface. We still maintain the traditional style, but the interface display information is replaced by 11n, at the same time in the product model we can see that the mark is TL-WR841N/TL-WR941N, which means the product is 802.11n device.

Step 4: The settings on the 802.11n wireless router are similar to those on the previous 54M. For most operations, refer to the configuration of the 54M wireless router. Note that when we set a wireless network signal for the 802.11n wireless router, the signal transmission frequency ranges from 1 to 13 in the same way as 54M.

The only difference is that there is an additional wireless route parameter named "band bandwidth" than the 54M setting, which can be provided to us with "automatic", "20 m ", "40 m" three options. In fact, this is one of the features of the 802.11n product. When we use a 54M wireless product, frequent frequency band interference may affect the transmission performance, to solve this problem, the 802.11n product provides wireless route parameters for setting the bandwidth, We can configure the bandwidth to avoid band interference. For example, when we set the bandwidth to 40 m, if the 802.11n device detects signal interference, it will automatically avoid interference within the width of the 40 m band, which effectively solves the problem of Signal Crosstalk. Of course, we can directly select the "Automatic" wireless route parameter.

Now we have completed the configuration of the 802.11n wireless router. In short, most of the operations are similar to those of the 54M product. The only difference is that there are two points. One is the frequency band width selection, the other is transmission speed selection. The former effectively solves the problem of mutual interference between multiple wireless networks using the same frequency band, while the latter makes wireless transmission more flexible and flexible, sometimes the signal is too far away and cannot be transmitted at the highest speed. The custom speed allows us to specify the transmission speed based on the signal strength or the actual environment, the transmission speed is ensured within the valid transmission distance.
