Ruby on rails gem install pg cannot be installed, rubyrails

When the above error occurs, the solution is as follows:

 

Ubuntu:

1.  sudo apt-get install libpq-dev

2.  gem install pg

 

Mac:

1. brew install postgresql2. gem install pg -- --with-pg-config=/Applications/Postgres.app/Contents/Versions/9.4/bin/pg_config
