Background
In the current wireless network, most Internet terminals are wireless terminals. Due to limited bandwidth resources, online videos, games, and other applications on some terminals occupy a large amount of bandwidth, resulting in slow and card loading on other terminals.
The IP bandwidth control function of the router can control the network speed of the Internet terminal. This article describes how to assign bandwidth to the wireless terminal.
1Find wireless terminalsMACAddress
After successfully connecting to the wireless router using the wireless terminal, log on to the vro management page and goDHCPServer > Client ListFind the MAC address of the wireless terminal, as shown in the following figure.
2, Specify a wireless terminalIPAddress
In the vro management interface
DHCPServer > Static address allocation, ClickAdd new entry, Enter the MAC address and the specified IP address of the wireless terminal, and clickSave.
Note:After static address allocation is set, the vro needs to be restarted to take effect.
1, Set broadband line parameters
On the vro management page, clickIPBandwidth Control > Control settings, Select the bandwidth line type, enter the actual bandwidth size, and clickSave. As shown in the following figure:
2, Set wireless terminal bandwidth rules
Click
IPBandwidth Control > Control rules, ClickAdd new entryEnter the IP address of the controlled wireless terminal (192.168.1.10) in the start and end addresses of the CIDR blocks, set the upstream and downstream bandwidth, and clickSave. Other wireless terminals use the same method to set the corresponding bandwidth.
Note:The sum of the minimum bandwidth set by the upper and lower lines of all controlled terminals cannot exceed the total bandwidth of the upper and lower lines of the bandwidth line.
3, EnableIPBandwidth Control function
After the bandwidth control rules of all wireless terminals are addedIPBandwidth Control > Control settings, SelectIPBandwidth Control rules, ClickSave.
So far, the IP bandwidth control settings are complete.
The IP bandwidth control interface of some routers is as follows. Select the line type, enter the downstream bandwidth of the bandwidth, enter the controlled address, and select the modeMaximum bandwidth limit, Fill in the bandwidth allocated to the controlled terminal, and selectEnable, SelectEnableIPBandwidth Control, ClickSave, That is, the settings are complete.
Note:In the above interface, you only need to set the downlink bandwidth of the controlled device. The router automatically adjusts the uplink bandwidth of the controlled terminal according to the upper/lower proportion of the total bandwidth.
