The wireless signal of the primary router is hidden (that is, no SSID broadcast is enabled). When the secondary router is used to enable the WDS wireless bridging primary router, the wireless signal cannot be found, you need to manually add parameters such as the Wireless name and wireless password of the master router to connect the router.
Our routers can be divided into cloud routers, new interfaces, and traditional interface routers from the management interface. The addition methods vary depending on the actual situation.
1, Cloud router
Log on to the vro management page, go to the WDS settings page, and clickStart settingAnd then clickManually add a primary router, Enter the wireless signal name and password of the hidden signal (primary router), and clickNext Step, As shown in the following figure:
Follow the prompts on the page to complete the WDS Settings Wizard.
2, New interface router
Log on to the vro management page and clickAdvanced Settings > Wireless Settings> WDSWireless bridging, ClickNext StepEnable WDS wireless bridging, cancel scanning signals, and clickManually add a primary router, Enter the wireless signal name and password of the hidden signal (primary router), and clickNext Step, As shown in the following figure:
Follow the prompts on the page to complete the WDS Settings Wizard.
3Traditional interface router
Log on to the secondary router management interface and goWireless Settings > Basic settings, Set the SSID of the secondary router, select a channel, and selectEnableWDS, Enter the SSID and BSSID of the hidden signal (primary router) (the wireless MAC address of the primary router), select the encryption type of the primary router, and enter the wireless password of the primary router, as shown in the figure below:
Click Save and set other parameters according to the WDS Bridge method.
Note:: The BSSID (wireless MAC address) of the primary router can be viewed as follows:
① If the primary router is a traditional interface router, log on to the primary router interface first.Running status > Wireless statusView the MAC address, as shown in the following figure:
② If the primary router is a new interface or cloud router, view the MAC address on the router shell label to use this as the benchmark MAC address. For example, if the main router signal is a 2G signal, its MAC address is the base MAC address. If the main router signal is a 5G signal, its MAC address is the base MAC address + 2. For example, the MAC address displayed on the router shell is 88-25-93-6C-3C-74. If the signal of the primary router is 2.4G, the BSSID is 88-25-93-6C-3C-74. If the signal of the primary router is 5G, then, BSSID is 88-25-93-6C-3C-76.
III. After successful WDS bridging
After the secondary router WDS Bridge successfully hides the wireless signal, the wireless signal of the secondary router itself is not hidden. To hide the wireless signal of the secondary router, goRoute settings > Wireless Settings, Not checkedEnable wireless broadcast, ClickSave, As shown in the following figure:
Traditional routers are
