Log "flat" camera captured image information, with "full dynamic range" of the characteristics of the record. So the log image looks gray and flat, but it contains and records a wealth of bright and dark details. About 3D LUT

LUT is the abbreviation for the Look up table, meaning "lookup tables." With a text editor to open the Lut file, you can see that Lut is just a set of numeric tables that represent the original value of RGB and the target values of the map, meaning that the original image's color is mapped to a new color. Essentially, the role of LUT is to convert each set of RGB input values into output values, while RBG data is independent of each other.

Because of the color control function of one dimensional LUT model combination, there are some limitations, only affects Gamma,rgb balance (grayscale) and white fields, so precise color control is most commonly used in three-dimensional LUT (3D LUT), because it can be accurately converted to the data entered for each image pixel, At the same time, the simulation of aesthetic quality can realize the control of three-dimensional color space. The 3D Lut has an RGB channel in each coordinate direction, which allows all color information to be mapped and processed, even to the gamut where the film cannot be displayed.

How to achieve movie-level rendering of photos

First step: Get log file

Using Mac OS users, copy this folder to the hd:/user/yourusername/repository/applicationsupport/adobe/cameraraw/cameraprofiles

Users who use Windows systems can copy to C:/users/yourusername/appdata/roaming/adobe/cameraraw/cameraprofiles

The third step: ACR change color channel

Select a raw format picture file in Bridge. Open in Camera raw, select the color depth in the workflow window as "16 bits/channel", so that the picture has a larger dynamic range.
