Knowledge Point analysis:
When running a game on a laptop with a dual-graphics card, sometimes the game is choppy, the blue screen prompts VIEDO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR, and the game screen is abnormal. You can check whether the problem occurs during the dual-graphics card switch, we recommend that you set the program to an independent video card running program from the global settings in the NVIDIA control panel to effectively solve the problem.
Procedure:
Suggestion: you must run the game in an external power supply environment to achieve the best experience. When the laptop is powered by a battery, it automatically reduces the frequency and saves power, leading to a choppy game.
Step 1: Right-click the blank area of the desktop, and click "NVIDIA control panel" on the left in the pop-up menu. (If the project does not exist, check whether the NVIDIA control panel can be opened in the control panel. If an error is reported, reinstall the independent graphics card driver)
In the new window that appears, click "Manage 3D" to the left, and then click "auto select" under "global settings" to the left, in the pop-up menu, use the mouse to left-click the "high-performance NVIDIA processor" project, as shown in the figure below:
Step 2: Find the power management mode in the Settings list, right-click the "adaptive" item on the right of the window, and left-click the "highest performance first" item in the pop-up menu. As shown in the following figure:
Step 3: After the settings are complete, use the mouse to left click the "apply" button in the lower right corner of the window, and close the window. As shown in the following figure:
Step 4: enter the power option of the control panel, or right-click the battery icon in the computer icon bar, select the power option, change the power plan to high performance (if there is no high performance, click show additional plans ).
Step 5: After the configuration is complete, you can re-enable the previous slow, slow game. The problem will be solved normally. If the fault persists, you can consider updating the latest drivers with integrated and independent graphics cards, or check the recommended configuration requirements for running the game. If the recommended configuration requirements of the game exceed the hardware configuration of the machine, please lower the special effects and lower the resolution to get the maximum number of game frames.
