Backup steps: Open the IIS-> right-click Web site-> Save the configuration to a file-> Select Path Determination (no encryption).
A DOS command is used to restore the machine after reloading. (because there is no convenient step on the IIS6). There is an IIS backup Restore tool on the internet called Iisbackup, but I think it is not good to use, so it is better to use DOS command. Less gossip, here are the methods.
1. First open the file you saved, look at the IIsWebService tag in the XML structure
Copy Code code as follows:
<?xml Version = "1.0"?>
<configuration xmlns= "Urn:microsoft-catalog:xml_metabase_v64_0" >
<MBProperty>
<iis_global Location = "."
Sessionkey= " 496353625000000034000000100000000b020000016800000168000081e2da380f08d7a77a0f7a8d1e5733151278c173cff44170288404a94b90c9050 1f8ddb5b80a9b9ba9223fbf4e07334a6eeb1f076e1aad0f806b5bb5 "
>
</IIS_Global>
<iiswebservice Location = "/lm/w3svc"
Allowkeepalive= "TRUE"
........................
Look down IIsWebService in the Location = "/lm/w3svc" path, one will need to use
2. Use Win+r to open the Run box, enter CMD into the DOS interface
3. Type the CD c:\Windows\System32 change the path
4. Type in the above path
iiscnfg/import/f c:\iisbak.xml/sp/lm/w3svc/1/dp /lm/w3svc/children/merge
Where C:\IISBak.xml is the saved configuration file path
And/lm/w3svc is the local value in your iiswebservice.
So all the steps are complete.
