- Open a command prompt window.
- Enter the commandDrwtsn32.exe.
The following window will display:
- For Windows 2000:
- For Windows XP:
- InLog File PathField, type the location to where you wantDrwatsonLog to be stored.
- InCrash DumpField, type the file name and location where you wantUser. dmpFile to be stored.
- Make sure that the following options are selected:
- Dump symbol table
- Dump all thread Contents
- Visual notification
- Create Crash Dump File
- If you are running Windows XP, SetCrash Dump typeToNT4 full compatible.
- From a command prompt, enterDrwtsn32-ITo re-enable dr. Watson as your default Windows debugger. This will make the necessary changes in the Windows registry.
