If you have installed an older beta version of Office 2007 (for example, Beta 1,beta 2,beta 2 tr) and then installed a new version (for example, install Beta 2 TR, or RTM version after installing Beta 2), there is a good chance that the following will happen: Insert a header, footer, Page numbers and other features are not normal.
The performance is:
1. After clicking on the header/footer, only edit header/edit footer and delete header/delete footer, and no style preview appears.
2. You cannot insert page numbers. Click the page number-after the top/bottom of the page, only save the selection as a page number (top)/Save the selection as a page number (bottom), and is gray. The page number cannot be added at all.
If you are a new installation, this problem will not occur. Uninstalling the old version before installation is not possible, and this problem still occurs. However, it does not seem to uninstall the old version, there is no way to install the new version.
Reason:
The template file is not correct.
Solution:
Delete the wrong template file.
You can do this:
Close Word, and if you are using Windows xp/2003, turn on the strongest duck in x:documents and settings (this is the account you logged in to, such as Administrator) application Datamicrosoftdocument building Blocks. x indicates your system disk letter.
If you are using the Simplified Chinese version of Office 2007, there should be a 2052 directory to go into the directory and remove the building Blocks.dotx file from the directory. If it is in another language, please go to the appropriate directory to delete the file. The easiest way to do this is to search all the building Blocks.dotx files in the directory and delete them all.
Don't worry, deleting these files can damage word, and the files will be recreated the next time you open Word. And you can actually recover the correct files yourself, with the correct copy in the C:Program filesmicrosoft officeoffice12document Parts2052 folder (assuming that Office is the default path installed on the C disk, and is Simplified Chinese version).
