How Word sets the first line indent

1, open the WORD2010 document window, select the paragraph you want to set paragraph indentation. Click the Show Paragraph Dialog button in the Paragraph group in the start Ribbon.

2. Switch to the Indent and Spacing tab in the Open Paragraph dialog box, and set the indent value in the Indent area to adjust the left or right edit box. Then click the Special Format Drop-down triangle button, select the first line indent or hanging indent option in the Drop-down list, and set the indent value (typically setting the indent value to 2). Set Finish Click OK.
