Even if you don't have an inkjet printer in your home, you can "wear" a variety of cool T-shirts in Photoshop. Today we will use the powerful liquify (liquefaction) filter in Photoshop to "stamp" specific patterns onto wrinkled clothes. (This example uses the latest version of Photoshop CS2, with a liquefied filter that is almost identical to the CS version, slightly different from version 7.0)

Step one: Open a picture of a T-shirt in Photoshop, as shown in Figure 1 (you can take a few pictures of a T-shirt to make it more real), T-shirts are not as flat as they are with many folds. And then open a big footprint (see Figure 2), and this example is going to put it on a T-shirt (of course, you can use your favorite pattern to practice). As shown in Figure 3, using the Move tool to drag the Bigfoot pattern onto the T-shirt picture window, it automatically creates a new layer. Press the Ctrl+t key, then drag the node around the pattern, and then press ENTER to determine the appropriate pattern size.

Step two: On the layer (Layers) palette, click the Eye icon in front of the big footprint layer to temporarily hide it (click again to display the layer again). Then click the channels (Channel) tab to switch to the channel palette, as shown in Figure 4, select a more visible channel, such as Red (red) channel, right click on it, select Duplicate Channel (copy channel) command, will create a channel named Red copy ( Sneak 1: Directly drag a channel to the bottom of the palette on the "new channel" button, you can quickly copy the channel.

Step three: Select the channel just copied, and then press Ctrl+l to pull out levels (level) dialog box, as shown in Figure 5, the left and right side of the Triangle small slider (that is, black and white field) to the middle drag, which can increase the contrast of the channel image.

Step Fourth: Click the Layers tab to return to the Layer palette, make the Bigfoot print appear again, select the layer, and then press SHIFT + Ctrl + x (menu command "Filter→liquify") to bring up the liquify (liquefied) filter. This is a powerful deformation filter, through which you can accomplish many unexpected special effects, we can do more experiment experience. 1. In Mask options, click the First Drop-down button on the left (Replace selection) and select red Copy from the Drop-down menu, which is the red channel we copied in the front, and we'll find that the dark gray part of the channel is a semitransparent red, Also is the mask color, indicating that this part of the image will be frozen, will not be affected by deformation.

3. As shown in Figure 7, use the push left tool, from left to right, from top to bottom, pushing horizontally three or more times to ensure that the entire Bigfoot print is dragged, and then click the Invert All button in mask options to reverse the frozen area in the previous step. Then from the right to Zopping drag Bigfoot print pattern. Finally click the OK button to return to the main screen of Photoshop, if the feeling effect is not clear, can be repeated once again liquefaction treatment.

Fifth step: Through the previous step of liquefaction treatment, now the Big Foot print pattern has "dissolved" to the T-shirt above, but the effect looks a bit blunt unnatural. This is because there is no uniform brightness contrast between the pattern and T-shirt, and then let's continue processing.

1. Click the channels switch to the Channel palette, select the red Copy channel, press CTRL + A to select all the images in the channel (Secret 2: Through the shortcut keys can easily operate the selection, such as CTRL + a Select all images, ctrl+d key fast selection, CTRL + H key quickly hide or show the selection, Ctrl+shift+i can be reversed, and then press CTRL + C key to copy.

2. Return to the Layer palette, deselect, click on the big footprint layer, and then press CTRL + V paste, then just copied the channel image automatically on the above to create a new layer. The new layer covers all the images underneath, which is not what we want to see, it doesn't matter, put it with the big footprint layer to combine the clip mask (Secret 3: Hold down the ALT key, and then move the cursor to the border of the adjacent two layers, the cursor will become two intersecting circles, click to create a clipping mask, Repeat to cancel the clipping mask).

3. Change the new layer mode to multiply (multiply the bottom), the final effect will be as shown in Figure 8, is not very realistic!

Combat 2: Print the pattern to the T-shirt

Above all is an armchair, but if you have a color inkjet printer, then you can print the personalized pattern to the T-shirt, the effect with the store bought almost, very cool.

First step: Before you start printing (actually transfer) T-shirts, at least the following conditions are required:

1. Color Inkjet Printer

2. T-shirt Transfer paper (you can go to the printer manufacturer, such as Epson, etc., the designated dealer place to buy)

3. Electric iron (not a steam iron)

4. Pure cotton T-shirts or other pure cotton textiles, preferably without a pattern.

5. A towel

The second step: in Photoshop processing to transfer the image, according to the purchase of T-shirt transfer paper size does not determine the image size, for example: you buy A4 format t-shirt transfer paper, it is recommended that the image size for 28cmx19cm. To ensure the quality of the printed output, the resolution of the image is better than 150dpi.

The third step: put the T-shirt transfer paper, in Photoshop to execute menu command "file" →page Setup (Page Setup), select the correct printer, and set various printing parameters, print.

Fourth step: After printing the image, with scissors along the edge of the image cut down, and ensure that the edge of the paper and the image is 1/4 inches away. Preheat the electric iron to the highest temperature block (T-shirt transfer cannot use a steam iron); flat towels placed on the table, then the cotton t-shirt tiled in the middle of the towel, to ensure that there is no wrinkle, indentation; print out the image of the T-shirt transfer paper on the T-shirt, there is a side of the image to face down on the T-shirt, as shown in Figure 9, To iron at a certain time.

Fifth step: After the image transfer, also need to strengthen the edge of the image. As shown in Fig. 10, an electric iron is pressed continuously around the image for ironing for 30 weeks, about 4 seconds per week. Finally, turn off the electric iron and put it in a safer place. Wait about 1, 2 minutes, start from a corner, slowly rip off the T-shirt transfer paper from the T-shirt, your personalized t-shirt is done. Note: If the waiting time is too long, the T-shirt cools too much, which may cause the T-shirt transfer paper to be torn off the T-shirt.
