Name the layer "SHADED", grab the layer, and drag to duplicate the layer on the new layer below the layer palette.

Name this layer "WIREFRAME" (wireframe/Wiring box), and the order structure of the layer should be the same as the following image.

Use the selection tool to select or click the small circle after the layer to select the object of the layer. Then open the Appearance palette through window > appearance (SHIFT + F6).

In the palette you can see the 3D rotation properties of the Layer object. Double-click to get the 3D dialog box for this Wireframe object, where the parameters are applied to the object.

Select Wireframe in the surface (surface) drop-down list. Since there are no wiring boxes we have chosen, all of them have no relevant indication parameters to choose from.

Make sure that the "SHADED" layer's objects are completely overwritten by drawing a square on the "SHADED MASK" layer and then using the Rectangle tool. Fill this square with a black and white gradient. In this example, the white and black sliders are positioned at 40% and 60% respectively. To modify, just select the slider and drag a color from the Swatch palette to the slider, but also use the color palette.

Step 14
Drag the gradient box to copy one. The layer will be located on the "SHADED MASK" layer. Named "WIREFRAME MASK".

Step 15
Cancels the hide and unlock of the "WIREFRAME" layer. Drag the copied existing Wireframe object to the layer. The result should be the same as the following figure.

Step 16
Select the WIREFRAME MASK layer, and then use object > Transform > Rotate to set its rotation angle to 180 degrees.

Step 17
Locks and hides the main layer that contains the WIREFRAME layer and the WIREFRAME MASK layer.

Step 18
Use "SELECT > All" (Ctrl + a). Then select Make Opacity Mask from the Transparency palette (create an opaque mask).

Step 19
Locks the primary layer that contains the "SHADED" child layer, and then does not hide and unlock the "WIREFRAME" layer that contains Wireframe objects and gradient squares.

Step 20
Use "SELECT > All" (Ctrl + a). Then select Make Opacity Mask from the Transparency palette (create an opaque mask).

Step 21
You can try to reduce the transparency of the wireframe layer to around 40% to make the visual effect better. If there is no problem, the two objects should seem to be interacting with each other, and the transition is more natural.
