The failure of most test automation projects is primarily attributed to the rapid changes in the tested applications, inappropriate test cases, unreliable frameworks, and scripting issues. By analyzing the root cause of these problems, we can see that automated testing must be carried out step by step, instead of being limited to a certain stage to complete automated testing. Therefore, it is recommended that automated testing start from selecting those important and suitable test cases and then slowly expand to other aspects. This will bring about lower maintenance costs, but achieve more important business value.
