Install and use Eclipse IDE
Automatic Installation (not recommended ):
1. Directly install the software ECLIPSE:
Apt-Get install eclipse-Platform
Manual installation:
1. Go to the download directory:
CD/home/kubuntu/downloads
2. download the software eclipse3.2rc7:
Wget http://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/eclipse/eclipse/downloads/drops/S-3.2RC7-200606021317/eclipse-SDK-3.2RC7-linux-gtk.tar.gz
3. Go to the software installation directory:
CD/OPT
4. Create the eclipse installation directory:
Mkdir ee-Eclipse
5. Go to the eclipse installation directory:
CD ee-Eclipse
6. Create the installation directory of eclipse3.2rc7:
Mkdir eclipse3.2rc7
7. Copy eclipse3.2rc7 to the current directory:
CP/home/kubuntu/downloads/eclipse-SDK-3.2RC7-linux-gtk.tar.gz.
8. Unzip the software eclipse3.2rc7:
Tar zxvf eclipse-SDK-3.2RC7-linux-gtk.tar.gz
9. Delete the compressed package:
Rm eclipse-SDK-3.2RC7-linux-gtk.tar.gz
10. Grant file eclipse execution right:
Chown-r root: kubuntu Eclipse/eclipse
11. create a desktop connection:
go to desktop> right-click and choose create new> link too application... -> tab "application"-> command-> '/opt/EE-Eclipse/eclipse3.2rc7/Eclipse/eclipse'-data/home/kubuntu/ews-eclipse3.2RC7-> tab "General-> "icon"->/opt/EE-Eclipse/eclipse3.2rc7/Eclipse/icon. XPM-> OK
