The Molin2 tool MIC2 has been installed for a long time and has encountered many problems, especially on Ubuntu. For this reason, I have specially re-installed Apache and upgraded the version
8.10. Even if this happens
Step-by-step actions are still tough. Finally, we can get it done before work today. The power of the network is infinite. Someone quickly gave the answer in maillist, But he encountered another problem.
I have solved the problem, and the results are all happy.
The following describes how to install and use MIC2.
The mic2installation package is obtained from the moblinnet site, in other words, mic2_0.7.org.tar.gz, mic2_0.7_i386.deb.
One worker uses mic2_0.7.org.tar.gz and performs the following operations based on the steps provided by the moblin Website:
Make clean
Make
Make all
This is a few days ago (it can be seen that it has been a long time). I am not sure whether it can be directly installed. I have an error and said there is a problem, so I can import the package mic2_0.7_i386.deb that can be directly installed.
2. Install mic2_0.7_i386.deb. Try moblin-image-creator, a tool provided by MIC2.
After installation, there are two kickstart files in/usr/share/doc/mic/moblin/examples that use the netbook-core.ks. According to the website tutorial, plan to create a USB img and execute the command:
$ Sudo moblin-image-creator-config = netbook-core.ks -- format = liveusb -- cache = <cache_dir>
An error is reported during running:
$ Sudo moblin-image-creator-Config = netbook-core.ks -- format = liveusb -- cache = mycache
Traceback (most recent call last ):
File "/usr/bin/moblin-image-creator", line 270, in <module>
SYS. Exit (main ())
File "/usr/bin/moblin-image-creator", line 211, in Main
Creator. Cleanup ()
Unboundlocalerror: local variable 'creator' referenced before assignment
This problem is the problem that maillist solves for me.
I guess the developer who provides Deb may have different development environments, such as environments that are not ubutun or other details that may affect Deb. Source code installation is required.
Use mic2_0.7.org.tar.gz again in the Third Region. You can make install
If the installation fails for the first time, I suspect that some files, libraries, or other files are not properly processed. In any case, the installation is successful now and general commands are executed. After a long import rpm, an error is reported:
Retrieving http://repo.moblin.org/moblin/releases/test/alpha2/ OS /i586/ConsoleKit-libs-0.3.0-2.30.moblin2.i586.rpm... OK
Error creating live CD: Unable to install: [('installing package totem-pl-parser-2.25.1-2.22.moblin2.i586 needs 636kb on the/var/tmp/imgcreate-b6opXa/install_root filesystem', (9, '/var/tmp/imgcreate-b6opXa/install_root', 651264l), ('installing package metacity-2.25.144 ~ 0.1-1.13.moblin2.i586 needs 13 MB on the/var/tmp/imgcreate-b6opXa/install_root filesystem ', (9,'/var/tmp/imgcreate-b6opXa/install_root ',......
(Too long, slightly later)
This imgcreate-b6opXa, the suffix will change every time, but the file is not found in/var/tmp, from the error, it is estimated that the file system is wrong, so in maillist, I offered this trick:
In the kiststart (netbook-core.ks) FilePart/-- size 500-ondisk sda-fstype = ext3
Modify 500 to 2000.
After the changes, everything is normal. Check that the imgfile is successfully produced. The next lab will go to work on Monday.
I have also used moblin-image-creator-2-2.0-alpha.tar.gz and make install.
It provides two ks: netbook. ks and installer. ks.
We use the same command, but an error is returned:
Retrieving http://moblin-repos.jf.intel.com/moblin/development/common/ia32/ OS /repodata/repomd.xml
Error creating live CD: Unable to download from Repo: cannot retrieve
Repository metadata (repomd. XML) for repository: moblin2. please verify
Its path and try again
We obtained repomd. XML from the Internet through wget and found that the size is only 1 byte, which is basically a null file. So it cannot be executed.
This problem was also raised in maillist, someone gave a new connection, http://repo.moblin.org/moblin/development/core/ia32/ OS/
Or http://repo.moblin.org/moblin/releases/test/alpha2/ OS/
I will try it if I have time next week.
Today (January 1, April 13), I received a reply from maillist:
Today I receiVe another answer on maillist: moblin-image-creator-2-2.0-alpha.tar.gz is no release, it is just a snapshot of a very old tag, you shoshould not use it and instead use the official releases (0.7 on repo.moblin.org)
.
