Currently, only sopcast is the most useful network TV software in Linux. There are many programs and the speed is good. Although it is a little slower than some P2P network TVs in Windows, it is still decent. Especially watch Phoenix TV. There is no sense of interruption. I previously found an installation package of version 0.2.8 on the Internet. I tried to find the latest version of the installation package again, but I had to compile and install it myself. But it's not hard. In general, you can do it in a few steps.
1. Download The gsopcast source code package
File Location:
You can download it directly:
Decompress gsopcast and go to the console.
# Cd gsopcast -*
# Make
# Make install
2. Install SP-SC
: Http://download.sopcast.org/download/sp-sc.tgz
After decompression, copy the SP-SC file to/usr/local/bin.
The installation of gsopcast is complete.
Enter gsopcast on the control end to start the instance.
3. You can create a menu entry by using the menu => attachment => alacarte menu editor.
Add this start to the Start Menu.
Note:
There are many errors during make. The libgtk development kit should not be installed.
Install the SDK in the following ways:
Sudo apt-Get install libgtk2.0-Dev
Even if the installation is complete, an error is prompted.ProgramThere are some problems, but it does not matter, according to the above does not affect the compilation and installation.
About copcast software:
Sopcast is a P2P-based broadcast system. The program source in the sopcast network is a seed that distributes program signal data to several viewers who then distribute their program signals to other audiences. All audience members share their program signals. All audience members form a network where each audience member connects to their neighbors and shares signals with them. Using sopcast technology to play real-time programs can significantly reduce server load and bandwidth requirements. Compared with other P2P live streaming media systems, sopcast has the lowest latency in the industry. This feature makes sopcast more suitable for live broadcasting than other P2P streaming media systems.
