Client system version: CentOS 7.4

Virtual machine hardware compatibility is the compatibility of the client system with the VMware Workstation software version as well as the ESXi version. If you need to run in a different environment, you need to make changes to the hardware compatibility of the virtual machine. If you do not need to run in another environment, it is recommended to select the latest version.

Choose to install the operating system later.

Virtual machine name, can be customized

Processor configuration, if the machine performance is not strong enough, do not match too much CPU to the virtual machine.

Memory configuration, 1G memory is recommended. Minimum 512M.

If there is no special requirement, select Bridge Network or use network address translation.

Disk type, it is recommended to use iSCSI disks. If it is an old system, use the IDE disk.

New system, use to create a fresh hard drive.

Allocating all disk space immediately consumes the allocated disk space, but performance is better. If you do not choose, how many files to write, how much space to occupy, can save disk space, but will affect performance.

Saving a disk as a single file saves the disk file as a file. Splitting a disk into multiple files splits the disk into multiple files of 4G size (compatible with the FAT32 file system), but it can affect performance.

If you need to change the host name, change the hostname. And keep the NIC powered on. Click Done to return to the previous interface.

Kdump is a kernel crash dump configuration, if it is in a test environment. In memory-saving considerations you can turn it off.

Remove the checkmark and click Done to complete the configuration.

Select the clock icon to enter the time zone setting.

The time zone is set to Shanghai, Asia. You can turn on network time. Select Done to return to the main interface
