The virtualization journey of large data is most appropriate for the POC to open. The POC is the abbreviation for the Proofof concept, meaning proof of concept, which is commonly referred to as a test to see if the product's characteristics meet the desired requirements.

So how do you deploy a POC environment for large data virtualization from a zero-starting point?

The virtualized environment is a prerequisite for starting a large data infrastructure, but I am sure that the reader's "device" may now be different. Environmental Planning and preparation

To begin with, we use only one server for simplicity, and we use local storage. The advantage is that you can get a minimal available environment as soon as possible. First, we need to download vSphere5.1 and Vcenterserver Appliance 5.1.

Please note that here we need to download the vSphere5.1 Enterprise Edition. If you are using a brand server that is in nude, you may need to install some drivers, please consult the server manufacturer for OEM vSphere5.1. If you use the original vSphere5.1, the installation may fail due to a lack of drivers. For example, I am using the Dell customized version of vSphere5.1.

Also note that when you go to VMware's official website to download vsphere or other products, you need to register users or log in to get a download list. The trial product is generally available for a 60-day trial period. This is fully enough for the POC.

The following table is the overall network planning. The IP address and Network properties in the form are examples of my experimental environment, only for reference.

It should be noted here that 20 reserved IP addresses are for reference only. As with physical deployments, 20 reserved IP addresses may not meet long-term needs as the cluster expands horizontally or the number of clusters increases. At this point, you need to get more network resources from your network administrator.
