Experimental background:
Xian Lingyun Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. the mail system has been applied in enterprise communications, and Headquarters employees can use the Address book to find mail users within the enterprise, who can send e-mail messages to users through Outlook and OWA. or access the Exchange's public folder through Outlook to share information within the enterprise, however, Xian Lingyun high-tech System Co., Ltd. employees can not communicate with the external messaging system, now we need to implement to enable employees within the company to communicate with the company's external mail. Then let's do this glorious task together.
Experimental environment:
In this experiment our environment is like this: Benet.com mail system (Xian Lingyun Hi-Tech Co., Ltd.) and accp.com Mail system (Xian Lingyun High-Tech Co., Ltd. Shanghai Branch), respectively, can let benet.com mail system (Xian Lingyun High-Tech Co., Ltd.) employees and accp.com Mail System (Xian Lingyun High-Tech Co., Ltd. Shanghai Branch) employees can communicate with each other to achieve the external delivery of the mail. In our scenario we are involved in the SMTP virtual server and SMTP linker, where we first introduce the basic configuration of the SMTP virtual server in later experiments we will explain the SMTP connector.
Experiment Objective:
Enable employees within the company to access the company's external messaging system to communicate properly.
Experiment steps:
First of all, we should understand that the most important task of the mail system is to ensure that the mail is delivered to the destination correctly, and that the Mail Service management of the mail administrator is the first priority.
Exchange enables users to use mail protocols such as MAPI, IMAP4, POP3, HTTP, SMTP, and NNTP, and of course we can view and manage these protocols in Exchange System Manager. Of course the mail administrator is configured on a virtual server with a variety of protocols, depending on the mail service features and usage of a particular protocol. Of course, the protocols supported in OUTLOOK2003 are: MAPI, SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, Http;outlook Express-supported mail protocols: SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, Nntp;outlook web protocol supported by Access: HTTP. Of course, when Exchange is installed by default, "OWA" and "OUTLOOK" are turned on by default.
The SMTP protocol is an Internet standard protocol used to transmit and post e-mail messages, and the Exchange mail server uses the Windows system's own SMTP service as its inherent mail transport protocol. Mail delivery between Exchange servers is done by the SMTP virtual server.
1.1.1.1. First, before making the configuration (the area has been created), we want to ensure that different messages can normally resolve the DNS records of the server, so how can we do the DNS of different servers to resolve each other? Here we are configuring forwarders to enable DNS to be resolved between different servers. Figure 1-1 is the forwarder configured on the benet.com. (For forwarders we do not have a detailed explanation here, detailed configuration forwarders can be understood in the "Windows column" DNS tutorial). Here we just explain in detail the configuration on the benet.com on the accp.com and the configuration on the benet.com is exactly the same.
1.1.1.2. Now that we've configured the forwarders, let's now parse to see if it is possible to resolve the DNS to the End-to-end server as shown in Figure 1-2:
1.1.1.3. Configure the forwarder then we will now create the Mail switch (MX) record. Select "Benet.com" right click to select "New Mail switch (MX)", as shown in Figure 1-3, to create an interface to complete the mail switch. But what we need to be aware of is that when you create a mail exchange (MX) record, the host or child domain text box remains empty and it is best not to type any name when you create it. Repeat the above operation to create MX message records in the same way on accp.com, and configure.
1.1.1.4. Use "nslookup" in command line mode to test whether DNS MX records in the zone are properly parsed. If the parse Success statement has been registered successfully. As shown in Figure 1-4:
1.1.1.5. When configuring an SMTP virtual server, let's explain how mail users work through SMTP; the SMTP virtual server is essentially an SMTP protocol that provides exchange with the mechanism to administer SMTP, In general, we use an SMTP virtual server instance to send and receive e-mail.
