Then follow the steps to install it, and when you're done, double-click Open

Second, the installation of the CentOS system

Open the VMware virtual machine and click on: Create a new virtual machines, install the installation steps, when selecting the image file, select Install later, select the Linux version when selecting CentOS, and then follow the steps to complete the installation;

After the installation is complete, click on the CD/DVD (IDE) in the devices of the new virtual machine, tick the use ISO image file, load the CentOS image files address, click OK, then click: Power on To start installing the CentOS system, proceed as follows:

First, install CentOS 6.6

To successfully boot the system with the CD, the following interface will appear

Interface Description:

Install or upgrade an existing system installation or upgrade of existing systems

Install the system with basic video driver during installation with the base graphics driver

Rescue installed system to enter the repair mode

Boot from local drive exits installation from hard disk boot

Memory Test RAM Test

Select the first item here, install or upgrade the existing system, enter.

If there is a question about whether to test the CD media, select "Skip" to skip the test.

The following interface appears, click Next directly;

Select language: Chinese (中文版) #生产服务器建议安装英文版本

Keyboard selected as: U.s.english

Select the first item, basic storage device

Select the first item: Yes, ignoring all data

Next

Set the hostname, here default, and then modify after the installation is complete

Next

Time zone selection: Asia/shanghai

"System Clock user UTC" #取消前面打勾, do not use UTC time

Set Root password

Note: If you use a password that is too simple, the system will automatically prompt you: Your password is not secure, too simplistic/systematized

Choose "Use anyway" here anyway

Production environments must have strong, complex passwords

Select the last item, create custom Layout, creating a customized partition

Can see the capacity of the hard disk, I show here is 20G, now custom partition.

Note: Before partitioning, you should plan well, how to partition

My partition here is as follows:

With free partition selected, click Create

Select Standard Partition Partition, click Create

File system type: Swap

Size size:2048

Other options default to

Ok OK

Keep the free partition selected, click Create

Select Standard Partition Partition, click Create

mount point:/

File system type: EXT4

Check "Use all available space"

After creating the partition, as shown, then click Next

Point "format" formatting

Select ' Write changes to disk ' to write modifications to disk

Point "Reboot" reboot, automatic system restart

After restarting, the following login screen appears

Enter the account root and password to successfully log in to the system as shown:

Third, configure the virtual machine IP

In order to be able to access the virtual machine directly through the Xshell tool on the host, you need to set the IP of the virtual machine, Baidu for a long time, are prompted to set up a CentOS static IP, but according to the practice of the Internet, the first set can actually access, but the next day to boot and not access, after Baidu for many years, To try a way to see the current access is normal, that is to set up an automatic acquisition of IP (dynamic IP), the following steps are set:

1. Open the Control Panel-Network and Sharing Center, click Change adapter settings, then select VMnet8 Ethernet, then right-click the Select property, set its IPv4 property to: Automatically Obtain an IP address, and then set this VMNET8 to Enabled:

2. Open the virtual machine, click edit--"Virtual network Editor, enter, select VMnet8, click on the bottom left: Restore default, then click: NAT Settings, record the value of the gateway inside:

3. Set up the virtual machine in the CentOS system:/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 This file: onboot=yesbootproto=dhcpgateway= Gateway 4 in step two. Then re-server in the virtual machine system: Service network RESTART5. Check that the CentOS system network for the virtual machine is healthy: ping www.baidu.com View dynamic IP command: ifconfig6.
