First of all, allow me on behalf of the Great Britain London government to the "2012 (London) Olympic Fine Arts Congress," the initiation ceremony to express warm congratulations, and for the support, the preparation of the Arts Congress to launch the ceremony of the leaders at all levels and staff to express sincere thanks to the Olympic Art assembly artists.
The "2012 (London) Olympic Art Congress", to be held in August 2012 during the London Olympics, is an important milestone in the Olympic cultural exchange activities between China and Britain and the Olympic members of the world. Many of the friends here should remember the 2008 Beijing successfully held the "2008 Olympic Fine Arts Congress", this event has been the International Olympic family and friends from all walks of life highly praised by the art institutions at home and abroad and the active participation of artists. I believe that the organizing committee of the Olympic Art Congress, on the basis of the 2008 Austrian-American Congress, under the joint efforts of leaders, collaborating units, artists and everyone, the "2012 (London) Olympic Art Conference" will be a complete success.
Beijing and London have formed a friendly city since 2006 because they have been the city's Olympic venues. Since the 2008 Olympic banner passed to London, the two cities in the economic, cultural and other fields of cooperation more closely. This model of friendly cooperation has proved the great impetus of culture and art to the Olympic movement. "2012 (London) Olympic Art Conference" will attract a large number of China and the world's friends and artists to participate in, appreciate, witness the art and sports event.
