The setting of two options in LoadRunner is very important: recording options and Run-time settings. The former is used to set some of the options during the recording script, which is used to set some of the options during playback scripts.

1, recording options

Set options for recording scripts by selecting the Tools/recording Options menu or clicking the Record option button on the toolbar (see figure below)

Some of the major options are described below.

(1) Recording option.

html-based scrīpt: Default value. Description script in the form of HTML pages to represent, browser-based applications, recommended.

url-based SCRĪPT: The presentation in the script is based on a URL, not a browser-based application, and is recommended for use.

(2) Browser option. This option is used to set the default browser, as shown in the figure

Use default browser: Default option, using the browser defaults.

Manually launch an application: Load an application manually.

Specify path to Application: Specifies the path of the browser to run.

(3) Recording proxy option. This option is used to set up the Internet proxy, as shown in the figure:

No proxy: Do not set up the Internet agent.

Obtain the proxy settings from the Reconding browser: Default option, "· "Use the proxy option in the browser as the default option.

Use custom proxy: Set the server and port number of the Internet proxy yourself.

(4) Advanced option. Set advanced options during playback scripts, as shown in the figure:

The main options are as follows:

Record think-time: Default option. Whether to record thinking time,

You can set the maximum value for think times.

Full Trace Recording log: Logs of the recording process are fully logged.

Add comment to scrīpt for HTTP errors while recording: Comments are automatically added if an error occurs.

2, Run-time settings

Set options for recording playback by selecting the main interface vuser/run-time settings menu, pop-up dialog box as shown.

The main options are explained as follows:

(1) Run logic option. This option is used to set the number of times the script repeats, as shown in the figure: number of iteration is the set box for repeated executions of each transaction.

(2) Pacing option. This option is used to set the interval of two repeat executions, as shown in the figure:

As soon as the previous iteration ends: Perform the next time one execution at a time, after repeated execution.

After the previous iteration ends: At the end of the last execution, the interval is fixed to perform the next time.

At fixed intervals: Executes the next time, regardless of whether the last execution was completed or not.

(2) The I-time option. This option is used to set the thinking time for user actions, as shown in the figure:

Ignore think times: Ignore pause time when running scripts.

Replay think time: Set latency for thinking times.

As recorded: Run according to the time of thinking during recording.

Multiply recorded think times by: Runs according to the integer times of the thought time recorded.

Use random percentage of recorded:

Sets a maximum and minimum value from which to select a random value.

Limit to: Sets the maximum value for the??, if the recording value exceeds the maximum value, the maximum value is the highest.

(4) Miscellaneous option. This option is a blending option that involves miscellaneous features, as shown in the figure:

Error handing: Set the processing when running encounters an error, generally do not need to change.

Multithreading: Sets the default process or thread to run.

Run VUser as a process: treat each virtual user as a procedure.

Run VUser as a thread: treat each virtual user as a threading, default value, more efficient.

Automatic transactions: Set transaction Mode.

Define each action as a transaction: consider an action as a transaction.

Define each step as a transaction: Consider each procedure as a transaction.

(5) Network option. This option is used to set the speed of the network connection, as shown in the figure:

Use maximum bandwidth: uses the network maximum bandwidth.

Use bandwidth: Option The current mainstream access mode.

Use custom bandwidth (bps): custom bandwidth.
