Continuous OPEN-E DSS V7 application series six building software iSCSI
First, the basic introduction
Unit (Units): physical hard disk or RAID array.
DSS with S0,S1, ..., s[x] represents the Sata/jbod/raid unit, with H0,H1, ..., H[x] on behalf of the IDE unit, with MD0,MD1, ..., Md[x] on behalf of the software raids.
You can set up a volume group in a unit, or you can add a new unit to an existing volume group.
DSS can only allow units to be managed at least greater than 5G.
Volume Group (Volume Group): consists of one or more units (Units).
Logical Volume (Logical Volume): A volume group can be composed of several different types of LV, the type of LV can be NAS,ISCSI, snapshot, etc.
Note: Under the DSS Web management mode, the user can only complete the operation of volume group, LV, but cannot complete the delete operation.
Second, the management of volume group
1. New Volume Group
Select the unit, enter the volume group name, and create a new volume group.
