And some problems are not our own computer out of such a problem, but because some of the wrong settings caused by the inconvenience of use. It's not a big deal, but if you don't know how to modify the settings, the problem is still troubling. The setting is not sick, but it's killing me. The author has collected some of the most representative computer skills that I think will be helpful to everyone.
1, about "script error" hint. Usually on the Internet or open a program often encountered "scripting error" prompts, the reason is that visitors use the browser can not fully support the script in the page. In this case, the system will pop up a script to run the error Warning window, although it does not affect the browsing of the page, but this warning window is annoying. To completely close the warning window, select Internet Options in the browser's Tools menu, and then click the Advanced page to cancel the check box for the Prevent Script debugging checkbox in Settings.
2, let Google only search Chinese Web page by default. When you use Google for a search job, the search scope selected by default is "Search all sites." In fact, most people do not need to search other language sites and Web pages, as long as the search Simplified Chinese web page can be. So each time after typing a keyword, before clicking the "Google Search" button, you must also select the following "Search Simplified Chinese page", which makes it very inconvenient. In fact, there is a way to let Google only search the Simplified Chinese web page: Open the http://www.google.com page, and then click on the right side of the keyword box "use preferences", in the next "Use Preferences" page click on the "Search by the following language: (optional)" , and then select the Simplified Chinese check box in the following language. Then click the "Store Usage preferences" button and then press "OK". When you use Google, the search for Simplified Chinese pages becomes the default option.
3, remove the Win98 login box. In the Win98 will soon be installed, the system after the reboot would come out a user login window, if the password was lost, then every time the computer starts will jump out of this login box to let you lose the password. In fact, in the registry does not change some of the key values, this login box is a fake, anyone just press the "ESC" key to successfully enter the system. Therefore, if it is a single user, you can completely remove this login box to speed up your boot speed. Perhaps you do not know how to remove the login box, each boot it will bother you once, depressed it? In fact, as long as this, trouble can be lifted immediately. Open Control Panel, double-click Network, on the network page that appears, select the Configure tab page, change the primary network logon from Microsoft network user to Windows login, and then press OK to exit, and then under Control Panel, open password, and in the password properties Page click on the User Profiles tab, select "All users on this computer with the same preferences and desktop Configuration" and press "OK" button to exit. After the computer restarts, you will see the system go directly to the desktop.
4, reduce disk scan wait time. We know that after the shutdown is not normal, and then reboot the system by default will be ScanDisk. In the Win98 operating system, disk scans can be controlled by modifying the Msdos.sys file. In Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 operating systems, although disk scans are performed automatically, it takes 10 seconds before a scan is made to wait for a user to select a scan or not. I think most computer users will scan the system by default. This part of the wait time is redundant, if more zoning, the time is longer. To reduce the waiting time for disk scans, we can do this by entering commands at a command prompt. If you want the system to perform a disk scan directly, just set the disk scan wait time for C disk to 0, by typing "chkntfs/t:0" at the C:\ prompt, and then pressing the ENTER key (excluding quotes). Similarly, on the D disk, e disk scan wait time settings, under their own letter type "chkntfs/t:0". Where the 0 in the command is the number of seconds for the wait time. You can set the length of each partition scan waiting time according to your own needs.
5. Reduce the number of scroll bars at boot time. According to the author's observation, in general, when the settings are not modified, Windows XP, Windows Server 20,032 operating systems when the scroll bar scrolling times are slightly more than 5 times. This to cherish when I like gold and other computer fans is also unforgivable? Just edit the following text file with a text editor:
Then saving the text file as a registry file and importing it into the system can reduce the scroll bar scrolling (note that in the above text, the first line of Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 must have a blank line). When the system reboots, the scroll bar will be reduced to a little more than 1 times.
6. Reduce the volume of ghost image files. Ghost Mirror files on the system is an important way to keep our system intact. However, the ghost image file is relatively large, for example, the author of a total of 4.3G and divided into three areas of some small hard disk users, is tantamount to a big fat. To reduce the size of the ghost mirror file, delete all files under the Windows\Temp folder before making the ghost mirrored file, and also use the System cleanup software to clean up the garbage files. You can delete the Win386.swp files in the Windows folder for the Win98 operating system before you go to Dos to do ghost mirrored files, WinME the operating system to delete the _restore folder and its contents under C disk. When you perform ghost operations, you choose to compress to effectively reduce the volume of the ghost mirrored file.
