After a few days, it was finally settled. It is only now known that archlinux is indeed a master of kiss ----- kiss, and a beginner of kiss.
This is not like ubuntu. I want to do everything for you. She is more like an assistant. Prepare the materials for you. Choose the rest. Because of this, there are many things to be done at the beginning, but the whole process is very interesting.
In the middle of the road, I have touched some nails. Now let's write down these!
- Hard Disk Boot Image
My iso image 2008.06 contains core software groups. The boot image is used for livecd, And I install it like a hard disk. As a result, we searched the world for the previous boot image. Maybe my search technology is not enough, but I cannot find it! I had no choice but to install the iso of 03! Khan!
2. Disable the pc speaker
After that, the installation is basically smooth. In the last step, you can edit/etc/rc. conf and add the pcspkr module to the blacklist. Otherwise, according to my operation habits, it will always sound, rather annoying!
3. The first pacman update
Note: Because I have a 64-bit system, it is best to refresh the database before updating it.
- Pacman-Sy
Install Updates again
- Pacman-su
Otherwise there will be some problems. For details, see wiki: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch64%E9%97% AE %E7%AD%94_ (% E7 % AE % 80% E4 % BD % 93% E4 % B8 % AD % E6 % 96% 87)
3. alsamixer
You can install alsa. I don't know if alsa is not automatically activated or added to the startup module list because of the above reasons. This will cause you to fail when using alsamixer. I forgot the specific prompt.
In this case, the snd-pcsp module should be blacklisted. Otherwise, the sound of the speaker drops again!
4. hal
Then install xorg. This includes hal installation. But it may still be the second reason. hal still requires me to manually write it into the list.
5. Create xorg. conf
I did it directly with nvidia tools, which is not as troublesome as described in wiki. In fact, I want to summarize all the methods!
Well, that's it now. Let's talk about it later!
