Step 1: Cancel automatic validation
There are a bunch of validation items, such as XML, JSP, JSF, and JS. We don't have to perform automatic verification on all of them, but we only need to manually verify them when necessary!
Cancellation Method:
Windows-> perferences-> myeclipse-> Validation
Except for all the check boxes under manual, none of them are selected.
Manual verification method:
On the file to be verified, right-click and choose myeclipse> RUN validation.
Step 2: cancel the eclipse spelling check
1. spelling check will cause us a lot of trouble. Our method names will all be abbreviations of words, and he will also prompt errors, so it is best to remove them, so it is not very useful.
Windows> perferences> General> Validation> editors> text editors> spelling
Step 3: cancel the startup items of myeclipse
Myeclipse has many startup items, but many of them are not needed, or only one or two of them can be used.
Windows-> perferences-> General-> startup and Shutdown
Step 4: Change the default JSP Open Mode
After myeclipse is installed, edit the JSP page to open its editing page and preview the page, which is slow and not suitable for development. So change it
Windows> perferences> General> editors> File Associations
Select an editor below and click the default button on the left.
Step 5: change the code prompt shortcut key
The current Code prompts the shortcut key. The default value is Ctrl + space, and we also switch the input method, so there will be conflicts. Who is myeclipse made by foreigners .. You do not need to switch the input method.
Windows> perferences> General> keys
Change content assist to Alt +/
At the same time, because Alt +/has been occupied by word completion, you must modify the shortcut key value of word completion at the same time.
Now, is the speed and convenience improved.
Of course, this is just a familiarity with a tool, and there is no technical content, but it is not a saying
With a convenient tool, we can still improve our mood when writing code...

Optimize myeclipse (latest supplement): We recommend that you use Windows> perferences> JAVA> editor> content assist, enter ". ABC "(for Versions later than 7.0, enter. abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz, the following steps are not required),-> apply-> OK. File-> export-> General-> perferences-> next, select the Save path, and click Finish. open the saved file and search for ". ABC, and then change it to ". abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz ", save. Then select File-> Import-> perferences, select the file, and finish. After the configuration is complete, you can check the effect when writing the Java program. 1. Remove unnecessary modules
20% of a system's functions often meet 80% of the requirements, and myeclipse is no exception. We only need 20% of the system functions in most cases, so we can disable loading and starting some unused modules. Open the Configuration window through windows-preferences, and select general-startup and shutdown on the left. The module loaded at eclipse startup is displayed on the right, you can remove some modules according to your actual situation.
Windows-> perferences-> General-> startup and Shutdown
Disable useless startup items:
WTP: similar to myeclipse, the main difference is that WTP is free of charge. If myeclipse is used, this can be canceled.
Mylyn: A team task management tool, similar to CVS, which manages the project progress in task units and can be canceled if it is useless.
Derby: a database saved as a jar. It is useless and canceled.
A large batch of startup items starting with myeclipse easie: the servers supported by myeclipse are only used by myself, and other items are canceled. For example, I only select atat6.x
2. Cancel the project configuration file automatically verified by myeclipse at startup.
By default, myeclipse automatically verifies the configuration file of each project at startup, which is a very time-consuming process,
You can select myeclipse enterprise workbench-validation in the preferences window, and then retain only the manual items in the validator list on the right (select all manual and only the first item in bulid ).
If you only need to select the file for verification, right-click and choose myeclipse-run validation.
Windows-> perferences-> myeclipse-> Validation
Drop all vertices except manual. Only classpath dependency validator is left in build.
Manual verification method:
On the file to be verified, right-click and choose myeclipse> RUN validation.
3. Remove the spelling check (if you think it is useful, do not go)
Spelling check will cause us a lot of trouble. Our method names will all be abbreviations of words, and he will also prompt errors, so it is best to remove them, so it is not very useful:
Windows> perferences> General> Validation> editors> text editors> spelling
The default JSP editor opened by myeclipse is not good. The preview will be opened at the same time.
Windows-> perferences-> General-> editors-> file associations,
Change the default value to myeclipse JSP Editor ()
The original default JSP editor is myeclipse visual JSP designer. As the name suggests, this compiler is a JSP visual editor, which is of great help to beginners,
However, modifying the default editor can actually increase the startup speed)
4. Disable Automatic Updates.
For myeclipse7.5:
(1) Disable Automatic Maven update:
Window-preferences-myeclipse enterprise Workbench-Maven4MyEclipse-Maven,
Disable all the options starting with download and update (remove the preceding check box)
(2) Disable update scheduling: window-> preferences-> General-> startup and shutdown-> Automatic Updates schedes (remove the preceding check box)
(3) window-> preferences-> myeclipse dashboard, disable show ...... On start
5. Increase Non-heap memory of JVM
Open myeclipse. ini
-Startup
../Common \ plugins \ org. Eclipse. Equinox. launcher_1.0.101.r34x_v20081125.jar
-- Launcher. Library
../Common \ plugins \ org. Eclipse. Equinox. launcher. win32.win32. x86_1.0.101.r34x_v20080731
-Clean
-Configuration
Configuration
-VM
C: \ Users \ Lenovo \ appdata \ Local \ genuitec \ common \ binary \ com. Sun. java. JDK. win32.x86 _ 1.6.0.013 \ JRE \ bin \ Client \ JVM. dll
-Vmargs
-Xmx384m
-XX: maxpermsize = 384 m
-XX: reservedcodecachesize = 96 m
The above is my myeclipse. ini and needs to be modified to-xmx,-XX: maxpermsize,-XX: reservedcodecachesize,
Increase the values of the three items, but the larger the value is not the better. I used to perform tests under the same conditions (2 GB memory),-xmx,-XX: the value of maxpermsize is 384m, which is faster than that of 512m (depending on the computer ),
-Xmx,-XX: the value of maxpermsize is set to the same size and the sum of the two cannot exceed the memory size of your computer.
6. Window-preferences-myeclipse enterprise Workbench-Maven4MyEclipse-Maven, change Maven JDK to JDK installed on the computer, that is, do not use the JDK improved by myeclipse
Register the Add button and select JDK on your computer (Note: It is not JRE, and my value is java6.014)
7. Window-preferences-myeclipse enterprise Workbench-Matisse4Myeclipse/swing, change design-time information (Dt. Jar) location to the computer-installed JDK's DT. Jar
(That is, do not use the DT. Jar provided by myeclipse. My value is: C: \ java6.014 \ Lib \ DT. Jar)
Appendix: basic configuration of myeclipse:
1. Install myeclipse first, and install myeclipse7.5 requires a VPN proxy. The installation process lasts for about 10-15 minutes. Use the VPN test account.
2. Configure myeclipse,
Choose windows --> preferences from the menu bar"
3. Configure JDK first,
Select "Java --> installed jres" in the left column ",
Click "add" to add
4. In the "add JRE" dialog box that appears, select the JRE directory,
Select the JDK directory where you are located. my options are c: \ Program Files \ Java \ jre6.
In the JRE name column, fill in the name you want. Here is "hijackson's JRE ",
Then "OK" to confirm
5. Return to the settings box and select the configured JRE.
6. Set Tomcat server to available and set the tomcat installation directory
7. Select the configured JDK from the Tomcat JDK.
8. The configuration is complete. You can start the service in three places ~~~
After the above optimization, the startup time of myeclipse can be reduced by 2/3, And the startup speed of Tomcat can be reduced by 1/2 (depending on the situation ),
In particular, the optimization effects of item 6 and item 7 are the most obvious,
If only the first five items are performed, the optimization effect is limited. In the short term, the startup speed can be improved, but it will be slow after about half a month (the specific reason is unknown)
In addition, after using myeclipse for a period of time, many projects will be generated. Even if these projects are closed, myecliose will load these projects at startup, which will take a lot of time, therefore, we recommend that you delete all unused projects and import them when using them.
Myeclipse 8.5 has just been officially released. The features of the new version can greatly improve the efficiency of developers. However, due to computer configuration, many developers are not very fast in using myeclipse, and we need to optimize myeclipse.
1. the quick update error always pops up and the quick update automatic update function of myeclipse is disabled.
The solution to this problem is to disable automatic update:
Windows> preferences> myeclipse enterprise workbench> community essen, and then deselect search for new features on startup.
2. Disable updating indexes
Window> preferences> myeclipse enterprise workbench> maven4myeclipse> Maven>
Disable download repository index updates on startup.
Note: Many people cannot find this problem because it is actually disabled.
3. Disable automatic validation of myeclipse
There are many validation items, including XML, JSP, JSF, JS, etc. We don't have to perform automatic verification for all of them, but we only need to perform manual verification when necessary, the speed will soon increase to several levels.
Windows> perferences> myeclipse> Validation
Uncheck all build items. If you need to verify a file, we can verify it separately. The method is: on the file to be verified (right-click-> myeclipse-> RUN validation.
4. Start optimization and disable unnecessary modules.
20% of a system's functions often meet 80% of the requirements, and myeclipse is no exception. We only need 20% of the system functions in most cases, so we can disable loading and starting some unused modules.
Window> preferences> General> startup Andy shutdown lists the modules loaded at myeclipse startup.
I only want it to load Tomcat 5 here, and check myeclipse easie Tomcat 5. Next, disable the workspace startup Refresh:
Next, close the spelling check:
You only need to cancel enable spell checking:
After you see auto activation triggers for Java, enter the-Z subtitles in it, select the application, and go to the editor to view the prompts. the above option shows the delay time prompt, we recommend that you do not modify the settings.
In this case, the selection is complete. Then, go to the myeclipse installation directory> myeclipse. ini to open and modify this file. We recommend that you back up the file before doing so. Otherwise, you will not be able to start the file after an error occurs.

Mainly modification:
- -Xmx512m
- -XX: maxpermsize = 512 m
- -XX: reservedcodecachesize = 256 m
The three optimization schemes are best selected based on your memory. If you choose the proper one, I believe the results will be very good. If it cannot be used after modification, You can overwrite the backup. The following describes common shortcut keys in myeclipse:
1. Switch to the editing point Alt + <-, ALT +->.
2. view the CTR + e file.
3. Make full use of the template as defined by yourself.
4. Customize the shortcut keys to generate getter and setter.
5. Try not to return the lattice or delete key when deleting the table. The Row-level CTR + D is used, and the CTR + X of some rows is used.
6. If the method or variable name is not good, replace CTR + 2 and R.
7. CTR + Shift + O Quick Guide package.
8. Run CTR + F11.
9. case-sensitive conversion: CTR + Shift + x CTR + Shift + Y.
10. Maximum normal window switch: CTR + M.
11. Sometimes, ALT + Shift + X and Q run quite well, especially in some build operations.
12. Press Ctrl + Shift + F to format the code.
13. CTRL + Shift +/to comment out/reverse comment on the selected source code.
14. Shift + ALT + S to quickly enable the source code function.
