Skype for Business Server 2015 hardware requirements

Network	A two-port network adapter. 1Gbps or higher (2 network adapters do aggregations, using a single MAC address and IP address)

Edge Server, stand-alone mediation server, VIS servers, and directors hardware requirements:

Network	A two-port network adapter. 1Gbps or higher (2 network adapters do aggregations, using a single MAC address and IP address) Edge Server requires two network card, according to at least two network cards to do team requirements, hardware as long as there are 4 fast network card.

Skype for Business Server 2015 operating system requirements

After you have the hardware ready, you need to install the operating system, and the following table is the operating system that Skype for business Server 2015 can meet.

Windows Server R2 Enterprise OS, latest service pack

Windows Server R2 Standard OS, latest service pack

Windows Server Datacenter OS with SP1 (required), latest service pack

If your system is not in the list above, it is not appropriate to install Skype for business Server 2015.

Note: We note that the list does not have Windows Server R2, because we recommend that you use Windows Server R2 when you install the SFB, but if you are not a clean installation, your Lync 2013 operating system is R2, Even so we still support you to upgrade to SFB in place (still running on 2008r2). But what you need to note is that the Windows Server R2 Mainstream support life cycle has stopped on January 31, 2015.

Skype for Business Server 2015 requirements for back-end databases

When you install Skype for Business Server 2015 Standard Edition. SQL Server 014 Express (64-bit Edition) is installed automatically.

Software requirements to be met before installing Skype for business Server 2015

You need to install the following roles on the operating system to continue installing or upgrading to Skype for business Server 2015.

For all role servers:

Windows PowerShell 3.0

If your operating system is 2012 or later, ignore this installation and if your operating system is R2, you will need to install Windows PowerShell 3.0 and you can go to download Windows Management Framework 3.0 and then install it.
