Currently, Lenovo's desktop and All-in-one machine with Windows 8 is a combination of uefi+gpt hard drives and a secure boot, but currently except window 8 and Windows 7 64-bit flagship (MSDN edition) Windows systems other than the operating system do not support this mode of booting, so if you need to retrofit other systems, such as Windows 7, you must work in the traditional bios+mbr mode.

Note: If you do not modify any settings, you will not be able to boot the other operating system directly from the CD or storage media such as U disk.

The following is a detailed procedure for the factory pre-installed Windows 8 modified Windows 7.

Special Reminders:

1, this operation will cause the hard disk all the data is emptied, including one-click Restore functionality will also be cleared, if you need to restore the Windows 8 system and one-click Restore function, you need to be sent to the service station for recovery, free recovery within 1 years (GPT partition table hard disk conversion to MBR partition table hard disk needs to delete all the original partitions, Include hidden partitions).

2, install Windows 7 and other operating systems must use the genuine installation CD-ROM, so when the deletion of the partition recreated, the installer will automatically convert GPT partition table to MBR partition table, do not recommend the use of Ghost CD, Ghost U disk, other third-party zoning tools to repartition the partition, This can result in unpredictable situations where the system does not install properly or does not boot properly.

3. If you have data on your hard disk, you must back up the data for your entire hard disk, not just on C, on the desktop, but on my documents, and on other data disks.

Operation Steps:

First, the BIOS setup (startup need to change two places, brackets in the Chinese name)

1. Click on the keyboard on the F1 key, enter the BIOS interface, enter the BIOS, if the front has a small dialog box press ENTER to remove;

Left and right key select the penultimate option startup---Select CSM (compatible module) and then enter, after the carriage return appears disabled (off) and enabled (open) Select Enabled (open) can (default is disabled (off));

2. Continue to find the boot mode (boot mode) after return, there are three options, select the last one, select Legacy only can (default for auto);

3. Press the F10 key on the keyboard and the prompt box appears to save and exit. Select OK or Yes to enter the carriage directly;

4. The computer will automatically reboot.

Second, the installation system

At the same time, constantly tapping the F12 key on the keyboard, will pop up the boot menu, select CD/DVD or USB storage media on the boot selection menu to install the Windows 7 operating system;

Special note: Unlike conventional system installation, the following are different places

1. After entering the Windows 7 system partition interface, click on "Drive Options" (advanced);

2. Select each disk partition individually, click "Delete";

3. After the deletion can see the entire hard disk into "not divided space";

4. Click New to recreate the new partition, which is limited by the MBR partition table. You can only split up to 4 primary partitions in the system installation interface, 100MB system reserved partitions also occupy a primary partition, if you need to partition more partitions, please system installation in Disk Management to partition more partitions);

5. After the partition is created, select the partition where you want to install the operating system and click "Next".
