Oracle backup and recovery framework

Backup
Backup is used as a means of redundancy to prevent errors or downtime.
I. Oracle backup can be divided into two types: physical backup and logical backup.
1. Physical backup: copy, copy files such as datafile and control file to other places
Oracle also provides tools such as rman and user Backup management.
2. Logical backup: copying data
Imp/exp, impdp/expdp

Ii. Database status during Backup
Two statuses: startup and Shutdown
1. Hot Backup (online backup)
2. Cold backup (offline backup)

Iii. Slave backup status
1. Consistent backup (with the same scn)
2. Non-consistent backup

Iv. Backup size
1. Full backup
Note: Only valid backups are supported in archive mode. Of course, they must be classified into consistency and inconsistency.
Non-archive backup must be disabled. It is not recommended to enable the backup.
3. tablespace backup
Note: The database is valid only when it is backed up in archive mode.
The tablespace is in read-only or offline valid backup.
4. Data Files
Note: The Archive backup is a valid backup.
The backup is valid when the data file is set to read olny or offline.

Iii. Recovery Methods
1. Full recovery
1) full database recovery
First mount the database
Make sure all data files are online
Restore operation
Use all Redo logs files

Set the tablespace to be restored to offline.
Resume execution
Use redo logs
2. Incomplete recovery
1) time-based
2) scn-based
