Introduction

In the oracleas portal, developers with various proficiency will find an open environment with a complete set of effective tools, these tools are used to create static components, dynamic components, and transaction components, and display these components as Portlet in the enterprise portal.

Declarative Development

If you prefer a declarative environment, the oracleas portal Wizard will guide you step by step using tools to create reports, forms, charts, and other types of dynamic components-these tools are so easy to use, so that even new developers can generate reports for the first time.

These wizard does not limit you to a fixed development method. You can also add PL/SQL to expand your components. These PL/SQL statements run at different points during form, report, or chart execution.

Manual encoding

If you prefer to write component code manually, oracleas portal provides the portal developer kit (PDK ). Use the Application Programming Interface in PDK to build web content and applications and integrate them with the oracleas portal.

If you prefer full control of development, the PDK meets your needs. With PDK, you can use JSP, Java Servlet, and PL/SQL to manually write your own Portlet.

Move

With the move function of the oracleas portal, you can easily adjust a portal component to display it on a mobile device. For example, create a report and select the required report columns to be displayed on mobile devices. In this way, you can reduce the data to display it on a very small screen.

Omniportlet and web Cutting

With omniportlet and Web editing Portlet, you can easily publish data from various types of data sources (such as workbooks, XML, web services, SQL, and even content from existing web pages. For example, you can use an existing web page as a data source, start web clipping studio, and edit the specific data to be displayed in the Portlet from the selected page. You can use the omniportlet filter function to customize the data for your users at the database and Portlet level, and use the Portlet parameters and page parameters. Both omniportlet and Web editing Portlet contain an easy-to-use graphical interface that allows you to create beautiful and seamlessly integrated Portlet with your portal.
