I believe that today, when wireless networks take off, we also have some knowledge about General Wireless Access Technologies. This article briefly introduces the composition and functions of the GHz wireless access system. I hope this article will help you.
3.5GHz Wireless Access System's general components and functions
The 3.5GHz Wireless Access system is generally composed of three parts: the Central Station (base station), the remote station, and the network management system. The Central Station consists of multiple sectors, in special cases, the Central Station and the remote station can be used for relay. The functions are as follows:
3.5GHz Wireless Access System 1. Central Station
The service and signaling data of devices in different sectors of the central station are aggregated to connect to the core network. The system can provide a variety of integrated services, such as PSTN, IP, FR frame relay, and ATM. The central station equipment is responsible for overwriting the remote station in a wireless point-to-point manner by dividing the slice and providing core network interfaces. The central station equipment consists of two parts: the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. The Indoor Unit consists of interfaces connected to the core network, the modulation and demodulation modules, and the intermediate frequency mixer; the outdoor unit consists of the RF transceiver module and antenna.
The central station can be divided into 4-8 sectors, and the remote station should be covered by a sector antenna that is focused within a certain angle range.
3.5GHz Wireless Access System 2. Remote Site
Includes outdoor units (including oriented antennas and RF units) and indoor units (modulation and demodulation units and business interface units connected to users' indoor devices ). The system can provide multiple types of user interfaces. Currently, common services can be directly connected. Remote stations can provide users with voice, data, and other services, as well as broadband data access services.
3.5GHz Wireless Access System 3. Network Management System
It is mainly connected to the central station and is divided into three methods: in-band, out-of-band and serial port connection. The network management system shall collect basic equipment configuration, faults, performance, security management, and billing information. The software work platform is generally WindowsNT, UNIX, and so on.
3.5GHz Wireless Access System 4. Relay Station
As an option implemented by the system, it is used to forward signals between the Central Station and the user station to extend the distance between the Central Station and the user station. One relay station can serve multiple remote stations. The relay station device can be configured in two types: the same-frequency transfer station and the baseband Transfer Station. The same-frequency transfer station shall have low power consumption and unattended performance, and shall be powered by solar cells or wind power generation equipment. The baseband transfer station should have the baseband regeneration function, and the remote station function should be available after the corresponding affiliated units are configured.
