Photoshop produces a wisp of smoke effect

The method of making smoke is basically similar to the beam, but the composition of the smoke is slightly more complicated, there are many scattered smoke around the smoke, there are many irregular smoke in the middle, it needs careful and patient to depict.

Final effect

1, create a new 700 * 1000 pixel file, background filled with black. Create a new group, and use a pen to tick the selection shown in the following illustration to add a layer mask to the group.

2, we first to make the first part of the smoke, need to complete the effect of the following figure.

3. Create a new layer in the group, use a pen to tick the selection shown in the following figure, feather 5 pixels and fill with blue: #789DD1, remove the selection and add a layer mask, rub the edges of the edge with a black brush, and then change the opacity to: 60%, the effect is shown in Figure 4.

4, create a new layer, with a pen to check out the selection shown in the following figure, feather 15 pixels fill the same as the blue, opacity to: 30%, remove the selection after the layer mask, with a black brush erase unwanted parts.
