Friends who install Microsoft Office 2010 may find that when you open multiple Excel files and you want to compare several files to a reference, you find that you cannot place several Windows side by side, and several Excel files share a window.
By asking for help on the Internet, you have found a way to enable multiple Excel files to open in multiple separate windows.
Note:
This method is tested in Windows 7 and under Windows XP.
Start:
Open the Run window (shortcut: Win + R) and enter Regedit to edit the registry.
Navigate to "Hkey_classes_root\excel.sheet.12\shell\open", expand Open, Delete ddeexec, then select Command, double-click Default in the right pane, and change the/dde at the end to "%1" (Note that there are double quotes), and then double-click Command to change the/dde at the end to "%1".
Navigate to "Hkey_classes_root\excel.sheet.8\shell\open" and make the same changes as above.
End
