In the recent writing paper, encountered this problem, here to share!
If a document or a report needs to skip cover pages and catalogs and set page numbers from the body, how do I set them up?
Assuming that the first and second pages of the document are cover pages and catalogs, we need to set the page number from the body of the third page:
1, first move the cursor to the last position of the second page, click on the "Page layout" option, find "separator" in "Page Setup", select "Next Page", this is the cursor automatically moved to the third page:
2. Click on the "Insert" tab, click "Page number" in the "Header and Footer" column, select "Bottom of page" and choose your favorite style:
3. Move the cursor to the inserted page number, then double-click the Design tab of the header and Footer tools, click Page Number, and select Format Page number:
4, the pop-up "page Number format" dialog box select "Start Page number" is 1 and determine, this time the cover page and the table of contents are 1 and 2, the body page numbering starts from 1,:
5, or in the first page of the text to insert the page number, the header and footer tools, the Design tab, click Link to the previous header, the page number to the right of the "same as previous" icon disappears:
6, back to the first page to insert the page number position, and then double-click and delete the page number, so that the cover page and table of contents are deleted, the page number is from the third page, that is, the first page of the body.
