PS Filter Simulate Fisheye effect make album cover

The fish eye lens is designed to achieve a broad visual angle, using a fisheye lens to capture more scene content in the same picture. At the same time, the fish eye lens also causes a strong barrel-like distortion, all images are compressed into a spherical surface, surrounded by black edges.

Of course we can use expensive fisheye lenses to get such pictures, but you can also use the spherical filters in Photoshop to achieve similar visuals. Let's tell everybody!

Operation Steps:

1 Trim Screen

To open the file, in order to ensure the effect of the fish eye Effect range, we first select the cutting tool, hold down the SHIFT key, create a perfect square trim marquee, and then with the help of the direction key to precisely control the position of the trim marquee.

2 Create fish eye effect

Use the layer > Copy Layers command to copy the background layer. Make sure the copy layer is selected, and then perform the filter > Distort > Spheroid command. Drag the Quantity slider to the right to set it to 100%, set the mode to normal in the mode Drop-down menu, and click the OK button.

3 Enlarge Canvas Size

After applying the fish eye effect, we need to enlarge the canvas size to add the surrounding black blur edges. Select Image > Canvas size to set the new size unit from 100% to 140%, the canvas extension color to black, and click the OK button.

4 Selection Edge

Select the elliptical Marquee tool from the pop-up menu by holding down the left mouse button on the Rectangle Marquee tool in the toolbar. Hold down the SHIFT key and drag diagonally down the upper-left corner of the screen to create a circular selection.

5 Feather Edge

Select Select > Deselect, and then use the Select > Modify > Extensions command to expand the selection and set the pixel. Select Layer > New > Layer, click the Adjust Edge button in the Options toolbar, feather it, and click OK. Select Fill from the Edit menu, set to Black, and click OK.

6 adding text

Select the Type tool, and then click in the photo where you want to place the band name. Enter the name of the band, use the cursor to select all the text, and then set the font and size in the text options. Finally select Layer > Flatten image to finish processing.

Tips:

1 early filming should be noted: the production of this effect can quickly give an ordinary picture to add the visual impact of fun. When taking photos, make sure the body is positioned in the middle of the screen and leave enough room for four weeks. This ensures that the final adjustment will not result in eccentric facial distortion.

2 full format Fish eye effect: We can also create a distorted picture without a black edge to simulate the whole fish eye effect. To do this, you have to choose a picture with at least 25% composition margin around it, and after performing the spherical filter, use the Trim tool to remove the four-week screen content that is not affected by the filter effect.
