Let's talk about the specific usage: first, in the scene at random put some objects, set up a scene, there is a direct light, two different colors of the point light source, and then there is a ball, the ball is the existence of dynamic objects.

As a result of the light, the ball was obviously affected by two lights and showed two colors.

Next, set the options for lightmapping, then bake

After baking the effect is this, because three lights are still open, so the ball is still affected by the color of light.

Next we turn off the three lights, when the ball doesn't have any light effect, turns into a gray-black

Move the ball, obviously not affect any light in the scene.

Next we're going to start doing lightprobe. Build an empty object first

Then add light Probe group components to this empty object


In the Lightprobe option, there are buttons to add, select, delete, and copy probes

We can click Add, put some probes in the scene, can also build one, and then copy more than a few
The simplest of all, first put in each corner, package a certain range of scenes wrapped up. As long as you select the Lightprobe object, the probe points are visible, and you can click the probes directly with the mouse and use the displacement tool to move them. Before baking, remember to change this Lightprobe object into a Lightmap static object before you start baking, remember to turn on three lights, bake, select the ball, and then in the grid rendering the use of light probes hook on the baking can be three lights off, this time, We see the ball is no longer gray-black, but by the influence of a certain light to move the ball to the other side, found that the color of the ball slightly changed, which is affected by the lightprobe. But the above effect is not obvious, we continue to the two light source near the point of a little more after the probe baking, we can see that the current ball is affected by the effect of lightprobe is obvious. In fact it is so simple, the use of lightprobe is on the basis of Lightmapping added some probe points to record the information of light sources. The more probes, the more obvious the effect is.
