Applications integrated with unified communication software allow them to apply to different occasions and give full play to their functions.

The third wave has not yet arrived, but there is evidence that social software, corporate social networks, file and workflow management programs, mass collection, and creative management are being added to the Unified Communication portfolio, gartner said.

Enterprises now have more and more options to deploy communication functions. They can either deploy each function by the manufacturer or deploy Basic Unified Communication functions without using separate services, in order to save money and improve efficiency.

As the third choice, enterprises can step through and adopt a full set of unified communication functions, which will soon include social media functions.
