Even some top-level (well-known or excellent) designers I have met cannot be evaluated because of lack of in-depth communication. But I barely answer the question of a good designer and an ordinary designer (in fact, I think most common designers only know him/her a little less, OK ?), There is no commonality (the assumption in the question is not true. You can assume that everyone is doing the design. It seems that the design is similar ?), I don't have a dime. What else is the difference?

"Average designers are similar, and excellent designers have their own excellent" (no comparison of sampling scope, it is difficult to answer more accurately). To save time and space, I only want to talk about the experiences of excellent domestic designers that I know and should not be controversial. I have not asked them their opinions one by one, so they will hide their names and companies; these are just what I get from observation and communication. I may not know the other side of them, so don't turn these things away. In addition, I don't think that if you do the same thing, you will be able to become "excellent". People have different factors in intelligence, physical strength, personality, family, and education, recognizing the gaps is doing better at the same time, that is, creating big data.

 

1. These excellent designers love and focus first

It's very imaginary, right? Let's look at the case. An X designer started to play the 3DS DOS version in junior high school. He has always loved and insisted that he experienced various obstacles such as skipping school, leaving school, and failing to start a business. He is still doing this, previously, he was able to build a module leader for the role of a major international game company in Asia. He could spend two years modifying a model until every line of the model was almost equal and perfect, in a stressful job, I can continue to learn what I learned in the early hours of every day and share it with others. This seemingly paranoid focus, in fact, many designers lack it. You can change a work file three times. If you change it five times, you will throw your mouth. If you change it seven times, you will find yourself hurt. However, in the design process, it is indeed necessary to repeat and polish the work. There are not many people who can be calm and stay focused on continuously improving the quality of the work. In addition, many designers say they love design. Most of the people I see are not loving enough, just a little bit of love.

2. Excellent designers understand empathy and respect people

The Way of Thinking determines the quality of design. Common designers see requirements, workload, and KPIs. Excellent designers see the gap between products and people, the contradiction between the ideas behind each requirement and the "I" positioning between the upstream and downstream. They will use UCD methods to deal with a lot of work and life problems. These people are not what we usually look like as "dead artists" and "wiremaps". A certain W of designers (girls) will ask others about their work habits during team communication, and then adjust their own document tools, PSD layer naming conventions, it may even help programmers find reusable interface code and efficiently complete prototype development. What surprised me most is that she will put all the paper and pen templates on the desktop together after work, because it is inconvenient to use it every day. When I asked why, she said, "Every morning, the aunts in the company cleaned up. I collected the items and they cleaned them conveniently.", is this not related to design? But this is related to the details and empathy. If you don't pay attention to these designers and make fun of such behavior, you can feel it.

3. Humble and constantly looking for room for improvement

From the macro perspective to the micro perspective, from the concept to the implementation of the means. Most regions in China do not have an innovative environment. Do you agree to this? However, I will not talk about the environment or other reasons, although this has somewhat restrained the incubator and growth of outstanding designers. I have seen one of the few outstanding designers. They are very humble first. Even though they have already highlighted visual design, they are asking themselves if they can improve their interaction design capabilities, whether users can be more exposed to study their lifestyles and consumption behaviors is spontaneous. A designer's work and living habits are like this (which is quite similar to me): Get up at a.m., go to bed at a.m., and analyze industry news or product data between and every day, I have read 10-15 professional articles every day, and Evernote notes are well synchronized. I have 30 minutes to learn about them, and work can be handled anytime and anywhere. The meeting should be controlled as much as possible, exercise one or two ideas every week (interaction or vision) and write articles on a regular basis (but not necessarily )... Every day, I always treat myself as a primary school student. I don't want to satisfy myself as if I were already a good designer. I want to seize all the opportunities to get information and enrich my thoughts, properly manage the time (strictly control the time for Weibo, viewing friends, chatting via QQ, etc.). This is all without cheats.

4. On a good platform, the right opportunity to present your abilities to the best

The world is contingent. You have changed your subjectivity, but you cannot change your objectivity. People who tell you that they will succeed as long as they work hard are playing tricks. You must become a good designer, it is necessary to serve Excellent customers, excellent companies, or create a good team on your own. If there is no successful product, there will be no great designers. I have read many details about the release of "Gossip", which is related to this issue. The subject can check whether it is soft or wide. It is something I have written, I don't want to try again.

 

Finally, a good designer has no magical design methods at all, and there is no super design weapon. They are the differences between people's character, habits, professionalism, and sense of responsibility. When you accumulate, become mature (old ?) If the design circle is still active, these qualities will be transformed into your pattern, Aura, and personal charm.
