There are two routers in the home want to connect to use, or use someone else's network, want to pick up a router to use WiFi internet access, using a router cascade can connect two routers, convenient use of WiFi router.
There are two ways to connect a two router:
The first way: the route mode Cascade, the second level router and the superior router all have the routing function, two routers are two independent LAN
The second way: switch mode cascade, the second level router is equivalent to a switch, no routing function, two routers in the same network segment of the LAN
In general, it is recommended to use the first routing mode cascade, which can give full play to the routing function of two routers
One, the route mode Cascade method:
(1) Routing mode cable Connection
A, from the cat out of the network cable connected to the WAN port of Router A,
b, a LAN port from router A connects a network cable to the WAN port of Router B,
C, and then from the LAN port of router B to connect the network cable to the computer
This will make the cable connection complete.
(2) Router settings
Router A settings: (if Router A is already set up, the following settings for router A can be skipped)
Connect your computer's network cable to the LAN port of Router a
Download and install the Master route optimizer on your computer-Advanced settings-Internet settings-dial-up Internet (ADSL)
Enter your online account and password in the Internet settings
Router A is set up, at this time the computer can be internet
Router B settings:
Connect the computer's network cable to the LAN port of Router B
Turn on route optimizer software-Advanced settings-LAN IP settings
Here the LAN IP is modified to: 192.168.10.1 (this IP can be arbitrary, as long as the IP of router A is not the same as you can)
Setup Complete
To restart router B, router B is connected to router A, and the devices and WiFi connections to routers A and B are available online.
Second, switch mode Cascade method:
(1) Switch mode level networking cable Connection
A, from the cat out of the network cable connected to the WAN port of Router A,
b, a LAN port from router A is connected to the LAN port of Router B (the switch mode is different from the LAN port of router A to the LAN port of Router B).
C, and then from the LAN port of router B to connect the network cable to the computer
This will make the cable connection complete.
(2) Router settings
Router A settings: (As with the first routing mode Cascade setting)
Router B settings:
Connect the computer's network cable to the LAN port of Router B
Turn on Route optimizer master software-Advanced Settings-DHCP settings-turn off DHCP
Setup is complete, and users of all two routers can surf the internet.
The above two ways to connect to the Internet for multiple users, two router WiFi can be used, but each has advantages and disadvantages:
Routing mode cascade
Advantages: Two routers have the routing function, the bearer user is two routers and (bearer users more), can expand the WiFi signal, stable performance
Cons: To manage two routers separately
Switch mode cascade
Advantages: Can expand WiFi signal, only need to manage a router, management simple
Disadvantage: Only the primary router has the routing function, the level two route is only used by the switch, the host user is the primary route bearer (less bearer)
You can choose your router's connection mode according to your needs.
