SharePoint learning notes [5]-set Anonymous Access

Source: Internet
Author: User

Generally, you can set anonymous Website access in three situations:
1. Configure anonymous access when creating a web application.
2. Configure anonymous access for the created website.
3. Set authentication access and anonymous access for the same website respectively.

Configure anonymous access when creating a web application
When creating a web application, select "yes" for "Allow Anonymous Access" in "Security Configuration ". After creating the web application and website set, click the website set link. When the system opens IE, it will find that the website still needs verification before you can log on. (Note: Although anonymous access is allowed in the "Web application", the created website still needs to be verified by default, so that the website can be accessed anonymously, you also need to go to website settings for setting .) In the displayed verification dialog box, enter the Administrator's username and password and click "OK ".
Click the submenu item "modify all website Settings" in the "website operations" drop-down menu "website Settings"
Go to the website settings page and click "Advanced Permissions" under "users and permissions"
On the permission settings page, click "Anonymous Access" in the "Settings" drop-down menu.
On the anonymous access page, select a range that allows anonymous access. Click "entire website" here ".
When you log on, you will find that you can access the website anonymously without the user name and password.

Configure anonymous access for a website
In the actual development process, no anonymous access settings may be performed when a web application is created. If you need this, you need to configure anonymous access for the website you have created.
First, log on to the website as an administrator. On the website settings page, click "Advanced Permissions" under "users and permissions ", the "Settings" drop-down menu does not have the "Anonymous Access" option. (Note: when creating a web application, select "no" for "Anonymous Access" in "Security Configuration". The website set inherits the settings. Therefore, you need to enable Anonymous access settings in the Web application .)
Go to the Application Management page of the management center and click "verify provider" under "application security"
Go to the verification provider page and check that the Web application selects the website we want to modify. Click "default" to go to the "Edit Verification" page, and select "enable Anonymous access ".
After confirmation, log on to the website, go to the "website Settings" page, click "Advanced Permissions" under "users and permissions", and enable the "Anonymous Access" setting. Log on to the website and you will find that you do not need to verify the logon.

Set authentication access and anonymous access for the same website respectively
Go to the "Application Management" page of the management center and click "create or expand web application"
Click "Expand existing web application"
Click the arrow next to "Web application", click "Change Web application", and click the web application to be modified.
Return to the page and you will see the "Web application" under a selected port. Enter the unused port in the "IIS website" port. In "Security Configuration", set to allow anonymous access (assuming that the "Web application" under the original port needs to verify logon ).
Use the original port number and the extended port number to access the service respectively (you will find that you still need to log on to the service by using the extended port number. Log on to the website as an administrator. On the website settings page, click "Advanced Permissions" under "users and permissions" to enable "anonymous access. In this case, you can use the extended port number to access and find that you do not need to verify the logon)

How to hide the "Logon" Link
When you browse a site that has been configured with anonymous access, you will find a "login" link in the upper-right corner of the page. However, you may not want the "login" link based on different uidesigns. You can use the following method to "hide ".
Go to the welcome. ascx page under the "C: \ Program Files \ common files \ microsoft shared \ Web Server Extensions \ 12 \ template \ controltemplates" directory and find the reference of the applicationpagelink control. Set the visible attribute to false.
