I personally think it is a bit abrupt to start with Flyer, because the Flyer series was originally intended to be just a game, and the next one was another game development, but it seems that more friends like to continue with this series, in addition, the new game has something to do with Fly, so even in this article, at the beginning of Flyer, we once said that the pilot game is purely implemented by Code, in the future, a Blend game development instance will be provided. Starting today, we will enter a brand new series-Butterfly.
First, a game developed using code will discover many problems:
1. It takes a long time to think and Design
2. The development process is not intuitive.
3. A large amount of Coding is required for animation.
4. the Testing process is painful.
5. Not closely integrated with Art
Of course, there may be more problems encountered in practice. These projects are actually our needs as a game developer and our needs for development tools, today's agile development needs cannot allow more programmers to encapsulate code into a development library, the most direct solution is that most people think it is a good method, for the above requirements, microsoft has Microsoft Expression Blend, which is a tool specifically used to connect programmers and art designers in the Expression set. The biggest benefit of Blend is that it can be used in programming and art, the program can find its intuitive development needs here, and the art can carry out various designs here, such as vector design, animation editing, and film setting, we will use Blend to implement one or two games in the future. It is very simple. We hope you can find the fun of Game Development in it :)
Note that this development will not use WebDeveloper or VS suite, and all development work is completed in Blend.
Let's simply set this game:
- You are an assistant to an insect planting scientist.
- Insects brought a batch of butterfly specimens
- You need to find the corresponding butterfly in the graph
- If you do well, you will get a chance to catch butterflies together.
- Capturing butterflies is also a test of eyesight
The gameplay is very simple. It is very easy to find the same butterfly among a bunch of similar butterflies. Our goal is to learn Blend through this small game, then develop more complex games.
First, prepare a set of resources.
We are going to create a butterfly fan effect to make some details more vivid, so what we need on the resource is half wings. simply use the drawing software to process it. Now we can build a project:
Click MainPage. xaml, select UserControl, and change the width and height from 640x480 to 800x536.
Then, upload a new folder, upload all the resources to the project, select back.jpg, and drag the current operation interface. The background image is displayed.
The white background looks awkward and changes to black or dark colors to make the entire game background look heavier.
Next time, we used Blend together to complete a preliminary game project development process, such as how to build a project, how to import resources, how to use resources, and simple color filling, the next time you play fan genie together :)
