Solution to centos 7 USB flash drive installation

Source: Internet

Recently, the long-awaited official centos 7 version has finally been released, so I am bored at home, so I plan to install it on my small y, because the notebook has installed the Windows 7 operating system, considering the usage requirements, we decided to install the dual system:

1. Download The CentOS-7.0-1406-x86_64-DVD.iso file.

2. Use ultraiso to create a boot disk. Note that ultraiso only has one EFI folder when using a 64-bit Linux operating system installation file, therefore, we recommend that you first use the built-in tool windows-resource manager to open the ISO file (only applicable to Windows 7 flagship edition and Windows 8 ). Then click Enable CD in ultraiso. Then start-> write the hard disk image ..

3, boot U disk after the preparation, need to copy the CentOS-7.0-1406-x86_64-DVD.iso to the u disk (so your U disk capacity must be large enough, if not enough can delete the packages folder)

4. OK. After completing the above steps, you can restart the boot from the USB flash disk. The page appears.

The following page is displayed:

And then .... Okay, no more.

If the problem occurs, the interface will remain stuck here and it will not go down. After finding a solution from the Internet for a long time, I finally found a solution: http://www.linuxidc.com/linux/2012-06/62109.htmalthough it is the solution of fedora, the operation is the same. The original reference is as follows:

Then it appears
Dracut :/#
Enter the following
Enter the following command
Dracut:/# cd Dev
Dracut:/# ls
Next we will find SDD, SDB, and SDC, which may start with SD, but generally SDB. Here you can see two files starting with SDB: SDB and sdb1, sdb1 represents your USB flash drive. Here we assume that you see sdb1 and my display is sdb4. remember which one you see.
Then reboot and you will see
Installor upgrade Fedora
Troubleshooting
Press the tab key when the first item is selected (default ).
Appendinitrd = initrd. IMG root = live: cdlabel = fedora \ x2017 \ x20i386 quiet
Then you change
Appendinitrd = initrd. IMG repo = HD:/dev/sdb1:/quiet
Here, sdb1 indicates what you saw in the previous step, and click OK.

PS:

Let's talk about the boot problem caused by the dual system. After installing centos 7 according to the above steps, I was excited and suddenly found that I could not enter the Windows 7 operating system [silly ]. There is no way to continue finding a solution. Finally, we found that Windows software named easybcd could modify the boot area.

There is no way. In order to use this software, I first use the PE system prepared by cabbage to restore the boot area tool and fix the Windows operating system boot file, then, use easybcd in Windows 7 to add the centos boot zone. OK. The system installation is completed only now.
