Installation Tutorials
1. Select the Start menu → programs → Management SQL Server 2008 → SQL Server Management Studio command to open the SQL Server Management Studio window, and establish a connection using Windows or SQL Server authentication;
2. Expand the server in the Object Explorer window and select the Databases node;
3. Right-click the Databases node and choose the New Database command from the popup shortcut menu.
4. After performing the above actions, the New Database dialog box pops up. In the dialog box, there are 3 options on the left, namely general, options, and filegroups. After you have completed the settings in these three options, you have completed the creation of your database.
5. Enter the name of the database you want to create in the database Name text box. For example, here is a "new database".
6. Enter the owner of the new database, such as SA, in the Owner text box. Select to enable or disable the use full-text indexing check box, depending on the usage of the database.
7. Include two lines in the database files list, one row for the database file, and one for the journal file. Add or remove database files by clicking the Add, remove buttons below.
8. Switch to the Options page, where you can set the collation, recovery mode, compatibility level, and other properties of the database.
9. Switch to the Filegroups page, where you can add or remove filegroups.
10. When you are done, click the OK button to close the New Database dialog box. The new data database was created successfully. Use sqlserver2008 to create a new database that you can see in the Object Explorer window.
