This article explains how the cache transformation is used and is matched with the lookup transformation.

Background

For example, some of our product target tables have some size information. We need to use the cache component to get the cached information. and match it with the lookup component.

Actual operation

1. Create the following workflow


Flat File content is as follows

Open the Cache component and click Edit->columns. We can see the data passed from the pipeline. If Index Position is 0, then it means no lookup.

If you want to save the pipeline data to a file for reuse, you need to tick the use file cache

2. Use in another package file. Note that the cache component is set to the project level to reference

Then we can merge the matches with the mismatched records, or do other things.
