System partition takes up hundreds of MB of space for no reason

Q: My system is Windows XP. When I transfer all the files in F to other partitions, it shows that the used space is hundreds of MB in its properties.

A: This is most likely because you enabled System Restore, and System Restore occupies hundreds of MB of space in the partition's record file. You can right-click My Computer, select Properties → System Restore, select Partition f in the available drives list, and then click the Settings button to adjust the space that System Restore can use. If you do not allow System Restore to take up valuable space on this partition, you can also turn off System Restore on this drive by turning off systems restore on that partition.
