IE8 is Microsoft's next-generation browser, and now the latest version is Beta 2. Although only the beta version, directed at its powerful features and higher security still has a lot of users to use it in a taste of delicacy. This article will list 10 authors in the use of the process summed up the skills, I hope to enhance the IE8 use of the experience to help.
First, set the IE8 as the default browser
If you have more than two browsers installed in your system, such as Firefox, Netscape, ie, and so on, each browser will often struggle to set itself as the default browser in order to be able to run. Often the third party browser software after installation will set itself as the default browser, then how to make IE8 as the default browser?
Run IE8, click the Tools option on its toolbar, select Internet Options, and then click the Programs tab at the top of the window and click "Set as Default" under "Default Web Browser". In addition, we can also check "If Internet Explorer is not the default Web browser, Prompt me", so that when the IE8 startup if the current default browser is not IE8 will pop up the dialog box, we can very quickly set it as the default browser. When the settings are complete, click OK to save the changes. (Figure 1)
Ii. Add Delete IE8 toolbar
IE8 By default the tool buttons in the toolbar are very limited and inconvenient to operate, and we can add customization to our needs and add the tool buttons that we often use to the toolbar to provide productivity.
Run IE8, click on its toolbar "tools" option, and then click the "Toolbar", you can also directly on the toolbar right-click, go to the "Toolbar" option list, select the "Custom". Finally, in the Customize Toolbars dialog box, you can add or remove the appropriate tools to suit your needs. When you are finished, select the Lock Toolbars option in the toolbar list, so that when we use IE8, we will display the toolbars that have been selected. (Figure 2)
Third, add delete IE8 add-in
The so-called add-in is IE plug-in, the traditional plug-ins are to provide users with convenience, for IE to add new features, but there are many plug-ins for commercial purposes, modify IE configuration or even add spyware. So for IE8 add-ons we can add or remove them as needed.
If you want to add or remove add-ons, click the Tools option and choose Manage Add-ins from the Drop-down menu, where we can view and manage the different types of add-on lists that have been installed in the browser. If you want to add more add-ons, click the "Find more Add-ins" option at the bottom of the window. If you want to remove the add-in, select and highlight the add-in that you want to delete, click the "Delete" button, or click the "Disable" button if you want to keep it but disable the add-in. (Figure 3)
Iv. adding more accelerators to the IE8
IE accelerator is the Real Time Network optimization Accelerator tool, can make IE in the Internet surfing and download the file speed is greatly improved. Unlike the software that used to modify the registry parameters for optimization purposes, the accelerator, by monitoring the state of IE browsers, intelligently loads part or all of the next or most likely pages into its own buffer, which is a real-time acceleration.
If you want to add more accelerators, select "More Accelerators" in the Accelerator pop-up menu, then select "Find more Accelerators" to view and add the available accelerators. As IE8 's development process grows for its custom accelerators, click on the "Find more accelerators" option to find more updated accelerators. (Figure 4)
V. Record of Visits
IE8 has made a lot of improvements in personal privacy, we can set up "browsing history", "Temporary Files", "cookies" and so on as needed to secure Internet access.
1. Save access information. IE8 can save information such as cookies and temporary Internet files that users visit, all you need to do is add the site to your Favorites folder. This way, IE8 will remember the user's preferences and be content more quickly the next time you browse. This added feature helps protect our vital information while ensuring that trusted sites function and are easy to use.
2. View Access records. In IE8 we can view the user's access record to the site, and to start the Access logging feature, you need to add the Web site to your Favorites folder. Click the button on the right side of the Favorites folder to quickly add a Web site so that IE8 records our access to the site. To view the history, select organize Favorites to select the Web site in the open window where you want to view access to records, such as "visited Times", "Last access time," and so on. (Figure 5)
3. Clear access record. After browsing the page, you want to clear the history, click the Toolbar Tool button, select Internet Options, and click the "Delete" button in the browsing history. Of course, we can also in the list of options, according to their own needs to choose, check the need to delete the option and then click "Delete" can be. (Figure 6)

IE8 's privacy browsing feature opens a new browser that does not record any information, and does not record any traces of search or Web Access, which is ideal for safe browsing of web pages in public places. To do this: run IE8 open "new tab" and select "InPrivate browsing" in the page menu. You can also open a new page and choose "InPrivate browsing" from the "Security" button in the toolbar. If you want to end private browsing, just close the browser window. (Figure 7)
VII. Development Tools
IE8 not only adds new features to end users, such as source clips, activities, but also provides developers with a fairly good developer tool and upgrades and updates for some of the features of IE7, including security filter filters and a new add-on manager. Clicking on the rightmost mouse pointer button on the IE8 interface, or pressing the "alt+y" shortcut key, opens Microsoft's built-in developer tool. (Figure 8)
This tool is similar to Firefox's development plug-in Firebug, web developers can not only easily debug JavaScript code, but also in the debug state by clicking to find the page elements corresponding to the Html/css/javascript code snippet, effectively improve development efficiency. This tool is not very appealing to end users, but is useful for developers.
Eight, IE8 search function
IE8 search function is very powerful, in the top of the menu bar has a "search bar", its default through Liva search, we can customize their own search engine according to their preferences, this and IE7 similar. The difference is that IE8 's search is everywhere. For example, in the Web page to select the text that needs to be searched, will display a search box next to the text, click on the Triangle button, you can select the appropriate search engine in the list search, eliminating the search box in the trouble of typing text, very intimate. (Figure 9)
Ix. Imitation of IE7
IE8 default rendering mode changes, so that through its browsing part of the IE7 characteristics of the development of the page, there may be typographical dislocation and other phenomena. To this end, Microsoft in the IE8 provides a "imitate IE7" button, the use of this button to IE8 completely disguised as IE7, including camouflage their own agent string, version information and page rendering mode, so that the basic guarantee in the IE7 browsing normal pages in the IE8 normal browsing. However, when you press this "imitate IE7" button, you must also restart IE browser to take effect. (Figure 10)
Ten, uninstall IE8
IE8 is the highest version of IE, but it is still in beta so there will be system compatibility issues, perhaps because we need to uninstall it because of usage. We know that Microsoft hidden Ie6/7 Uninstall items, to uninstall them to modify the INF file, because of antitrust, IE8 Uninstall is very convenient. For example, for Vista and XP, the uninstall steps are:
In Vista, follow the "Start → control Panel → program", click "Uninstall program → view installed Updates" below, find IE8 in the Drop-down list, select the and But click the "Uninstall" option in the upper part to complete the uninstall. In XP so open "Start → control Panel → add or Remove Programs", find IE8 in the list, click "Delete" to complete the uninstall. (Figure 11)
