You can view, print, and copy Word documents even if you do not have Word installed. What software is so bull? Today, I would like to introduce you to Microsoft's free view, print Word document tool: Word Viewer.
The latest two versions of Word Viewer are Word Viewer 2003 and Word Viewer 2007.
Microsoft Office Word Viewer 2003 describes:
In addition to the Word document file (. doc), you can also open a file that is saved with the following format:
Rich Text Format (. rtf)
Text (. txt)
Web page format (. htm,. html,. mht,. mhtml)
WordPerfect 5.x (. wpd)
WordPerfect 6.x (. doc,. wpd)
Works 6.0 (. wps)
Works 7.0 (. wps)
XML (. xml)
With Word Viewer 2003, you can view and print the contents of a document, and you can copy it to another program. You cannot edit an open document, save a document, or create a new document.
Microsoft Office Word Viewer 2007 describes:
Word Viewer 2007 replaces Word Viewer 2003 and all previous versions of Word Viewer, which means that Word Viewer 2007, in addition to the features of Word Viewer 2003, opens the document for Word 2007. So we recommend that you install the word Viewer 2007 version.
