Property Inspector and text format settings
Use the Text property inspector to format the currently selected text. When you use the property inspector to format text, Dreamweaver tracks the formatting properties you specify for each text element and uses the naming convention to specify a label for each element: Style1, Style2, Style3, Stylen. If you specify the same formatting attributes for two or more text elements, Dreamweaver will mark these elements with the same headings, reducing the unnecessary style names. Dreamweaver a label applied to a given text body can be applied later using the style pop-up menu, allowing you to build a style library within the page, and then simply select a text element on the page and choose a style from the style pop-up menu to apply the same style. You can rename these styles with more meaningful tags, such as Heading1, Heading2, body, and tablebody.
The Style pop-up menu also displays a preview of the name and style properties of the style in the page. The properties shown in the preview are font (font-family), font size, font weight, text color, and background color.
